woke slowly to the sound of growling, laughter, and shrieking. I could not for the life of me figure out why someone was shrieking and laughing at the same time until I opened my eyes and watched my sister’s very human naked body go flying across the clearing. I knew that had to f*****g hurt. I slowly sat up, shook my head and accessed the situation.
Terk and Jake were now fighting the big vampire man and the woman was trying to help. I growled before I launched myself in the air. Latching onto the woman’s arm, I shook my head. Her other hand batted at me, but I didn’t let go, not even when I felt a bone snap in my shoulder from all the damn hitting she was doing. I did whimper though, I couldn’t help that, it hurt like hell.
