THE BETA AND CONDITIONS

Chapter 3 Bianca's pov Of course, I didn’t know where the courage came from, but one thing is for sure—I did say it. And the beta? Stunned is an understatement. I heard him clear his throat before speaking. "I like that you're already claiming what you're not... yet. But you could still hold that title, only if you accept the conditions and stay under my supervision." I stared at him. Condition? What other condition aside from staying under the supervising eyes of the lycan and—oh!—the beta? "Right, that too... but my condition is different from the lycan's." "Listen, omega—" "Bianca... it's Bianca," I corrected, obviously tired of his constant use of "omega" with that condescending tone. I eyed him as I listened. "Bianca... or whatever. We'll first of all get to the palace, and everything will be relayed to you—both my conditions and the lycan's." What's with him and his CONDITIONS!!! I was obviously going to the castle, but not because of him, or his conditions, or whatever—but to prove to the king that I can, and I will. "I was already going to come with you," I said. And just like a flash, I remembered something. The s*x slave thingy! That was even the reason I wanted to run in the first place. I slowly raised my face to look at him, and of course, he was glaring daggers at me. Just then, another question arose within me. "Do you find it amusing when you glare at me that way, or do you just not like me for your lycan?" I asked, crossing my arms under my full bosom, hidden beneath the big ball gown I wore. As expected, he didn’t answer but rather growled. Well, I guessed he's tired of me. Oh, darling, we still have a very long way to go. Oh! The s*x toy thing. "Your lycan—" "He wouldn’t even glimpse at you for a second, so erase that bullshit from your mind," he said. Oh, I forgot—they read minds too. What the f**k is omega good at, exactly? I frowned. This is just cheating... obvious cheating. "Are you ready now?" "As long as—" "It’s not optional, little omega." "Bianca!" Urgghhh. --- I’d rather they call this a paradise... Did the moon goddess send her servants to build this castle? "Krrrrrrkrr"—I turned and found the beta and the other guards who had come to bundle me to the castle. They did hear that. Well, I shouldn’t be blamed. This is heaven. The layout is magnificent. "You might go blind with the continuous stare... just focus," he came closer. "Common sense should tell you that as someone who came to prove, you’ll start from here—and stop your less cultured attitude." He moved back. It stung. Damn, it did. I realized then—I’m just an omega who’s unlucky to get mated to a lycan, and now the beta badmouths me this much... I wish he didn’t hear that. I looked at Ric, the beta, but he was focused as he led us inside. I guessed maybe he didn’t hear it—but that’s impossible... right? The passageway is so big and fine, but I refused to admire it. Getting badmouthed again within just a few minutes is a red card. I might get disqualified. Oh, how it seems as though I’m in for a competition to win my own mate’s heart. My own mate! That dinged a bell in my head. He refused to accept me nor claim me, but rather put me up to a test—to prove my worth to him. I know what he wants. He wants me to fail so he can have more reason to reject me. I refuse to give him that privilege. He’s mine. The moon goddess gave him to me. No woman whatsoever has the right to take him from me. Did I just claim him... the same man who’s looking for ways to reject me? Even more, when he starts giving in to me—I could play hard to get. I chuckled. Such a vivid imagination. I felt an intense gaze—dominant and powerful. I was forced to raise my head toward the angle I felt it from. Far from where we were, I saw his figure—towering and domineering. His goldish eyes looking at me... or I thought so. But just before I could make something of it, he turned and disappeared. "We’re here," Ric’s voice came. I looked at the entrance side. Okay, where? Now? "This entrance will take you to your suite. Jerry will take you there—he's your assigned guard." I looked at the so-called Jerry. He’s all buff, and his face showed anything but softness. He looked back at me, and I saw his lips tug. He might not be as bad as I thought. "Tomorrow the conditions will be relayed to you. You can rest for now," he said, and I stared at him. He looked back at me. Without another word, he left. I turned to Jerry, who was still standing there. "He... hi," I stuttered, and he stared at me... before chuckling. Okay... wow, what’s funny now? "I’m sorry, the vibe I gave... was just born that way," he said. I like—yeah, I like him. Not gonna be so bad. "Oh, thought you were his beta’s mini—" "No, I just... let’s not mind him," he waved. "You should rest. I’d say you’re in for a lot of training. Perhaps, I should take my leave. I’ll be outside in case you need anything," he said as he made to leave. "Yeah... I’d need something." Just then, a young girl walked in. "She’ll help. Let’s say... your personal maid." With that, he left. I looked at the petite-looking girl whose head was bowed. Okay... we have a lot of working to do here.
