Princess’s Possessive Alphas

Chapter 7 Mission Part 2

Beta Frank POV

Two of my children are on this mission, it didn’t seem too dangerous when we chose Carolina to lead her own team, but that was before the note that was found. We are all sitting in Alpha Pete’s office, when we hear that Lina’s team is close to the gate deep inside of the moon pack.

We have been watching the live feed on the camera’s and listening to them over the comms, when the gamma Dale knocks on the door.

“ Come in Dale” says Alpha Pete.

Dale walks into the office with my wife/ mate following right behind him. The look on her face tells me something is not right.

“ Katherine, are you ok? Did something happen? “ I asked with concern.

As my mate lifted her face with tears running down her cheeks to me. It makes me feel useless and I noticed her red puffy eyes. She was crying for a little while and some remaining tears were still running down her cheeks..

I pull my mate close and hold her to calm her, when a mind link comes through that Alpha Cole has arrived.

I looked over at the others and asked “ He is late, isn’t he? I thought he was going to be here around 11:30 am with everyone else.”

They all shook their heads, and were wondering why he was an hour and half late.

As I looked down at my mate I noticed that she has calmed down a little bit, now that she can see her children on the live feed that was coming through.

I look at Alpha Pete as he says “ I will send Dale to meet him and bring him up here. You take care of her, she needs you right now.”

I mouth back thank you, as I hold my mate close, as she starts to sob again but harder, it seems the closer they get to Moon pack the harder she sobs.

I will wait to ask her what is going on, until she is calm enough to form two words together without sobbing .

I continue watching the live feed while Dale meets and brings up Alpha Cole. . I noticed that neither Issac or Zane even noticed that anyone left the office with their eyes glued to the screen that is focused only on the tunnels.

Everything looks good so far, I have faith that we will get the information that we need.

“Beta Frank, I have never known Katherine to cry over nothing. Do you think it has something to do with Carolina being on this mission?” Dale asked through mind link as he was out of the office and away from everyone.

“ I am not sure, I am hoping with her seeing the live feed it would make her feel better. We will have to see how she is when we go back up. Maybe she had one of her visions she hasn’t told me about yet”

The door opens with a bang as Luna Megan walks in and looks over at the two of us with a questioning look, before coming over and wrapping her arms around Katherine.

Megan is Pete’s wife / mate and Zane’s mother. She looked up and asked “ Is Little Carolina on this mission?”

Nodding my head, she looks over at Zane with sadness in her eyes, as his head turns to meet his mom’s eyes. She gives him a soft smile, then turns back, and sends me the same smile.

My bones feel as if the girls both know something is off, and they both needed to be here just in case their feelings were right.

“ Frank, I am just going to take her over here.” Megan motions to the couch on the other side of the office.

“ Thank you! Will you still be able to see the feed from there?”

“ If she wants to, yes, but I don’t think that is such a great idea, but getting her to leave this room is also out of the question.” Megan responded.

As I hear the door handle start to turn , I know that Dale , and our late guests have arrived. “ Pete, why is Cole late? I thought he was to be here at 11:30 with the rest of the Alpha’s?” I asked through mind link.

“ Not sure, but we can ask later, maybe pack business?” as he responds through mind link.

I nod my head at Dale and Alpha Cole. as they finally take their seats, before turning back to the screen, I see that now my mate and Luna were in tears.

The uneasy feeling surfaces again, trying not to show my emotions as I turn back to the screens to watch the rest of the mission.

I am still keeping an eye on the live feed. I noticed that they are about 50 feet from the middle of the pack lands. To help my mate feel better I said “ Lina do you copy?”

“ Dad, we are good, we have about 40 feet before we hit our destination. We are going quiet”

I was hopeful that if my wife could hear our daughter's voice, she would calm down. That did not help, I think it made things worse.

We all look at the two crying females, trying to figure out what has happened that we are not aware of. One female crying scares any man, yet two, we are out of our minds.

We weren’t sure whether to ask questions, or to walk over and hold them until they stopped crying.

I even notice the Alpha King is lost for words. No one knows how to get the females to stop., but all of a sudden we see lighting on the screens and loud pops, sounds like gun fire.

The live feed went down, and the commas were spotty, then there was a loud explosion on the west side of the pack.

A mind link comes through, the patrol guards said it was the diversion, for the team that was in the tunnels.

“ Alpha Pete, did you hear what was said over the comma’s “I yelled loudly. “We lost the live feed, and I can’t contact anyone that’s in the tunnels over comms. Are they all ok? Are we under attack?” I keep screaming.

Everyone and everything froze, as we all looked at the gray and white fuzz on the screen.

We all saw the flash of lights and then the camera’s and coms no longer were working. What in the hell just happened, my thoughts are going a hundred miles a minute.

I look around the room and notice that everyone has the same look on their face, confused and feeling of helplessness. My mate and Luna Meagan are holding each other very close, and are trying to comfort one another.

Then we hear my phone ringing, we all look at the phone, like it is going to bite someone, but the display shows that it’s Fred. I answer the call and place it on speakerphone. “ Freddy what the hell is going on? Is everyone ok? Do you need back up? “

“Dad, listen we have a traitor in the pack. Someone let the rouges know that we were coming , and what time we would be here.”

“ Son, Can you tell us if anyone was hurt?” I asked.

“They knew we would be in the middle of the pack and when, and which way we were coming. They knew we were in the tunnels, they were waiting for us.” Fred says screaming.

It was as if Fred did not want to answer me, or if he could not hear what I was saying. How could that possibly be, when we are talking on our phones and not over the comms and mic?

“ Fred, I am sending warriors your way, can you tell me your location?” Issac asked with a sadness in his voice.

Hearing the urgency in his voice and the repetitive speech I had to think of a way to calm him down and try to make sense of what was being said so I asked again….

“ Son, are you guys safe? Are you out of danger?”

“ Dad, we will be coming through the tunnels to the back of the pack house, we need a doctor as soon as we get there.”Freddy yelled, ignoring the question again.

That feeling of not knowing who was hurt and desperation has increased.

“ Who was hurt? I yelled into the phone.

I turn and look at my mate, and now that I see that both Alpha Pete and Luna Meagan are holding her up. Her legs are giving out with grief.

I got my answer before Freddy could answer me back. I went to my knees and my wolf howled in pain as loud as he could, shaking the Alpha’s office from the pain that I was feeling inside.

“ MY PRINCESS !”

“ Moon goddess, not my princess please! Take me instead!” I demanded

With my mind all over the place and my heart breaking, I never even noticed that everyone had moved from their seats.

Issac grabs my phone, and walks over to Zane while Dale helps Pete and Megan with my mate.

“ Beta Fred , this is King Issac , how far out are you? “

“ We are about 10 minutes out. May I request that you please take me off speakerphone.” Fred asked, trying to hold back the tears.

Watching as King Issac takes my phone and places it to his ear. “ ok , Fred, tell me the situation, is it just us? “

Hearing only one side of the conversation, and the pain that is in King Issac’s face told me that my first instinct was correct, My Princess is the one that is hurt.

Katherine had dropped to the floor on her knees holding her chest.. As they place her back on the couch, Meagan sits beside her, hugging her and trying to comfort her the best she can.

Zane did not leave Issac’s side in fear of what was going to be said next.

Cole and Kyle pick me up and place me on the couch next to my mate. Alpha Pete comes over, wrapping his arms around my shoulders, and whispers,” It’s ok let it out, no one here is going to judge you.”

As the tears roll down my face, I turn to my mate and pick her up, placing her in my lap. (Katherine has visions, and if she came into the Alpha’s office, that must mean that she saw a vision about what could happen today.) I whisper to her, “ Did you see if she will be ok?”

My mate looks into my eyes, with a look of fear, as she says softly “ I don’t know” then she begins to cry even harder.

Tears continue to run down my face, as I wait for more news!
