Chapter 5 The Mysterious Little Boy

1275 Words
Amelia asked many questions about the little boy's family, but he didn't say a word. He just followed her expressionlessly. Amelia asked around with the reception again, and no one knew him either. He just came out of nowhere. Amelia had no choice but to take him to the Public Security Bureau to see if any family members came to report the missing child. But it didn't take long for them to have an accident. Three black cars suddenly stopped in front of them. A group of men in black rushed out of the car. Amelia's first reaction was to protect the little boy. "Who are you? What do you want to do?" A bald head in front was holding a cigar, and took out the mobile phone in his arms. He compared the photos on his hand with the boy and started without saying a word, "Take him." Before Amelia could react, she and the boy had already been stuffed into the car. They gave her no time to call for help. "It’s okay sweetie. I am with you. I will protect you." Amelia endured the panic in her heart and hugged the little boy tightly. She kept comforting the little boy, and her mind was racing to think about how they could save themselves. In fact, she would be fine if she was kidn*pped by herself,. But she had a child in her arms. She dared not act rashly. Amelia took a deep breath and said calmly, "Who are you? Who sent you here? Ivy? Or David Will?" No one answered her. "I don't know this kid at all. You can take me if you want. Let this kid go!" As soon as her voice fell, the bald head laughed, "We want the child!" Amelia froze slightly. He glanced at the little boy in his arms and blinked, "You are k********g this child?" "Of course. We don’t even know who you are. Hey, chief, but the girl looks pretty!" "Shut up, ‘Don Juan’. Our priority is to take the kid! Boss is not happy about this. We have failed this several times. " She was relieved to learn that their target was not her. She had always thought that she had implicated the little boy. She ran into Ivy as soon as she returned home, and was intercepted by such a coincidence. She thought Ivy was planning something on her. Her first reaction was that their target was her. Her eyes fell on the little boy, and she felt uneasy. How old is he? How can such a young boy be kidn*pped but still so calm? Amelia suddenly recalled the scene where she had just met the little boy. He was dirty all over. Could it be that he was escaping from this? He was so young to experience such a big crime. No wonder he never smiled. He was protecting himself like a hedgehog. Thinking of this, she couldn't help but feel distressed. She held his hand a little harder. "Don't worry. I will protect you!" The little boy nodded. He was snuggled into Amelia's arms, looking terrified. But when no one was looking, there was a slight of disdain flashed in the little boy's pitiful big eyes. He was not afraid at all. He lightly pressed the button on the side of his watch where no one could see. At the same time, Ben, who was far away in Macy's Mall, suddenly called out with his ipad. "Boss! The location of the young master has been found! He is moving quickly towards the western suburbs of the city! He also issued an SOS emergency signal!" Taran took the iPad in Ben's hand. His face darkened instantly. He was like a killing god, and was completely different from the gentle man just now. "Ben, armor up!" The car was driving towards the western suburbs of the city. The trees on both sides of the road were getting sparser. After a while, an abandoned factory appeared right in front. Amelia hugged the little boy all the way. Her nervous palms were sweaty, but she still did not forget to comfort him. "Get off!" As soon as the car stopped, a man's rough big hand grabbed the little boy's tiny arm. He subconsciously hugged Amelia and refused to let go. Amelia saw the redness on the boy’s arms and scolded dissatisfiedly, "He is a child! Stop being so rude to him. I'll take him out of the car!" The autumn wind was chilling, especially in the suburbs in the evening. There were no shelters around. The wind was cold, and it hurt so badly on the face. Amelia hugged the little boy, trying not to let the wind got him. "This b***h! I would have already abandoned her if she weren’t pretty!" "Okay, I'll give her to you after handing over the goods." The bald head stopped the man and signaled the two behind him to escort them in. Amelia's expression turned cold when she heard their conversation. The goods in their mouths were the little boy in her arms. "Don't move!" The two were locked in a small room. The factory had been abandoned for a long time, and the house was full of damp musty smell. Amelia waved her hands in disgust to clear the dust in the air. She used the other hand to cover the little boy's nose and mouth with the clothes, trying not to let him inhale too much dust. "Don’t be afraid, dear. I won't let them take you away." In fact, since she got in the car, she had been thinking about how to escape. While the car was on the road, she couldn't get out of it at all. Now was the chance to escape. The sun had already set halfway. There was a small window above the house. The orange sunset shone through the window, staining the whole house red. Amelia looked around carefully. The room was almost sealed. The door was the only way out. Amelia took a deep breath and went through the route in her mind. Even if they escaped from the factory, they had to rely on a car to leave. "Sweetie, what's wrong?" Amelia was thinking about what to do when she found the little boy pulling on the edge of her clothes. His big eyes shone brightly, making her heart melt. "Are you afraid? Don’t worry. I'll save you out." Amelia squatted down and rubbed his little head, "I'll tell you a secret. I have a little one at home. She is about your age. After we go out, I will introduce you to one another. You two little angels will sure get along well. You are both so adorable." Amelia tried to distract him and make him less frightened. She squeezed his little face lightly, "Oh, your face feels so soft. You look so cute with these cheeks! They are like the Marshmallows. I never get your name. How about I just call you Marshmallow?" Amelia knew he wasn't very talkative and wouldn't tell her his name. It was clear that he had a strong sense of self-protection. The little boy rubbed against Amelia's arms again. She smelled very nice, like oranges. He didn't like strangers touching him ever since he was a kid. But somehow, he liked her very much. In her arms, he felt warm and peaceful. He felt loved. The sun was about to set completely. Amelia counted the time and picked up the little boy. She took a deep breath and smiled, "My sweet Marshmallow, have you ever seen a ventriloquist show?"
