Chapter Seven

The Taxi pulled up at the gates to the cemetery and I got out and paid the driver before he drove off again. No one was around so I guess im going to meet them at Aaron's grave. I walked through the cemetery. It was really sad. I could feel my eyes start to water up. It took me about 20 minutes to walk and find Aaron. I stood above him. I really didn't know what to do. I looked down at the inscription.
'He put a smile on everyone's face, even those who didn't know him. Until we see you again brother'.
Reading that alone made the tears flow down my face. I sat down at the bottom of his grave and crossed my legs. I really needed to talk to him, Why isn't he here?
'Hey Aaron, I know I haven't been to visit you but...Im here now and.....God, I miss you'. I admitted. 'AJ miss's you too. He's here, In England..' I chuckle sadly. The tears were pouring out. 'Aaron, I really miss you! There are things I needed to tell you and things you needed to know. The way we left everything. It wasn't right. I didn't know it would affect you like that. I got the letter you wrote about it though. Demi sent it to me after you passed... It wouldn't have been the right thing to do Aaron. You were with someone else.'
I had to stop talking for a moment to breathe, This was so overwhelming.
'If you weren't, God, I'd have said yes. Yes to everything... And I would have come home, Back to here...Back to you.' I sobbed. I felt someone's hand on my shoulder... It made me jump a little. I shot up like a rocket and turned around.
Yes, She was here.
My face dropped when I turned around and saw she wasn't alone.
'Hey, Kate how are you?' Liam asked. I didn't answer him. I looked down at Demi...
'You told him! Why would you do that?' I asked. She looked down at the ground.
'Sorry' She whispered. I looked back up at Lee and smiled weakly. He smiled back and opened his arms for me. I paused but went into them anyway.
'Hi Liam, How are you?' I asked. As I pulled out of the hug, He smiled.
I'm good. You?' He asked. I nodded.
'Im cool' I looked down at Demi 'It's okay, I forgive you' I told her. She smiled and we gave each other a hug.
'So, How are those twins of yours' I asked. They looked at each other and Lee put his arm over her shoulder and kissed her.
'They are really good. You have to come and see them later' Lee suggested.
'Oh, I dont know if that's a good idea... I dont wanna run into Tom....Or Michael.' I admitted. 'But I will see them soon. I promise' They nodded.
'Dont worry, We're all going out later to start filming a new music video. Come around then. Meet the other girls' Lee stated. I nodded.
'What girls?'I asked. 'Like girlfriends or something' I was alittle sad but hey, Its been years, Tom's bound to have a new girl by now...
'No, Mikes still with Ollie so no girlfriends there. Amber and Peyton. Amber is- Was Aaron's wife to be and Peyton is the twin's nanny.' Lee told me. I nodded.
'He doesnt have one' Demi blurted out. I lookd at her.
'Who hasn't what?'
'Tom, He doesnt have a girlfriend'
'Why would I care?' I told them, Trying not to sound hurt or happy.
's**t, I have to go' Lee suddenly said. He kissed Demi's cheek and mine and took off running. Me and Demi looked at each other.
'So, Hows little Aaron' She asked as soon as Liam was far enough away not to hear.
'He's good. He's having nightmares. I hope they stop soon. He's been asking alot of questions about.....Well, About everyting. I'm glad I have James to help me. I wouldnt be able to cope by myself. Hes the best guy ever.' I told her. She nodded.
'Hey, Idea. When you come around to see the babies, Bring them. Both of them. AJ can meet the twins and I can catch up with James' She suggested. I smile and nodded. 'Theres somethng bothering you, I can tell.'
'I hate that you know me so well.' I told her with a smile.
'Yep, Now spill.'
'I dont know how to deal with this Demi, I really dont.' I admitted.
'Deal with what' She asked, Moving closer to me. She pulled me into a hug when she saw I was crying.
'His dad' I yelled. Demi just hugged me closer.
I'm sure it's gonna be cool' She tried to calm me.
We sat with Aaron for a good couple of hours, Talking to each other, Talking to Aaron, Remembering memories and the good old times. Just catching up really. We were talking about our kids when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID. It was an unknown number
'Who is it?' Demi asked. I shrugged my shoulders.
'Dont know' I casually said. I flipped it open and answered it. 'Hello?' I asked.
'When were you going to tell me you were back!' He snapped down the phone. My face dropped, Dem looked at me.
'Tom?.....'
