Chapter 14

                                                                                        AMANDA

"Amanda, can you hear me?" it was mom’s voice that I hear, I can't see them because my eyes are patched with a bandage. "How are you feeling? Does your eye hurt?"

"Not too much, I’ve had enough rest."

"Amanda, guess what? they will remove your patch now" crystal said excitedly and heard her clapping excitedly

"Sit down properly, I'll just remove slowly on what’s on your head." I sat down properly and sat straight, while the bandage was being removed, I could hear Lance’s voice being also excited.

"Hey Lance, would you lower your voice for a while?" said crystal

“Hey, I’m just excited as you are, why can’t i? "my head was light already and can feel the bandage and the patches are now removed from me.

"Now, slowly open your eyes" nervous, I slowly opened my eyes, it was blurry at first but it took for a while for everything to be clear in my sight. I can see, everything.

“Oh, my goodness." I slowly looked at the girl who was covering her mouth looking at me, she was, wearing a black v neck sweater and a jean, she had her long hair being ponytailed leaving some of her bangs behind, she was lovely.

"You’re so beautiful, with those eyes, Amanda." I saw her saying it with her eyes twinkling but her eyes are watery, like she wanted to cry.

"So, what did you see?" I couldn’t answer for a while, I everything was new to me, is this what they see every day? I slowly looked everything was around me, until I returned my gaze to the people standing in front of me.

"Amanda, what did you see?" I looked at the woman who is in front of me, she wore a very nice outfit that could match her appearance, she looked around 30’s.

"Mom, is that how beautiful you are?"

"She can finally see!!" the guy shouted and laughed beside by the girl, he jumped in happiness, he held the girl’s shoulder and shook her, the girl immediately slapped the guys hand from shaking her.

"Stop it already, maybe you forgot that Amanda can see now who's ugly here"

"Excuse me?"

“You must be Crystal? I never thought you are this lovely” I smiled looking at her shocked face which turns into a wide smile and laughed.

“What? Me? Lovely? Oh, stop it you.” she said while doing that gesture on her hand and giggles

“That’s a small thing” I smiled at her and I turned my gaze into the guy who looked at Crystal with a disgust face.

“And you must be no other than Lance?” he turned his gaze to me and smiled widely, and nodded, He looked formal, he’s also a good-looking guy on his fashion right now.

"How about me, Amanda? What do I look like?"

"Oh uh, you are handsome.”

“Ha!” Lance had this playful yet teasing smile slowly turning his gaze to Crystal that gave her an annoyed look.

"Uhm, Amanda? I think you are blind again; you know?" we just laughed, mama thanked the doctor, and nurse for everything while I was looking around for something because there seemed to be something missing.

"What are you looking for, Amanda?"

"Oh, uhm, I am looking for Aldren " I said “How is he? I wanted to see him.” When I asked everyone where is he, everyone went silent.

"What’s wrong? Is he still not recovered?” i looked at mom, but she wasn’t facing at me and Lance smiled at me bitterly, and I looked at Crystal who was sitting beside me.

“What’s the matter? It’s okay if can’t see him for now, I can wait- “

“It’s, it’s not that, Amanda.” I looked at Crystal who is now looking at me with a serious face, she was silent for a while leaving me confused.

“Aldren is, something happened while you were recovering. I-I mean, we-we’re.” she sighed and closed her eyes, she feels drained and weak.

“What are you trying to say Crystal?” I looked at everyone, why don't they answer?

“What happened to him?”
