Once I broke into the grassfields, it dawned on me how far I had actually managed to run in the time that Anastasia had been gone. I had no way of tracking where I had gone, but one thing that I knew, was that I was very far from home. How else would I have managed to reach the outskirts of the town? My lungs had once again reached a state in which they were burning, my legs had become so numb that the only thing carrying me forward, was the momentum that I had already allowed to build up.
