Chapter 21Monday, September 26th Work had become the most monotonous thing in his life. Scrubbing pots and pans and washing dishes kept his hands busy, but left his mind wide open. While he worked all he could do was think about things. That was maddening, in and of itself. Before work, Jeremy had picked up medication refills at the pharmacy. When he rode his moped by the Paparazzi Cafe, he couldn't help looking over at the front glass windows where a constant succession of flashbulbs popped. The strobe light effect made seeing inside nearly impossible. The hope he'd catch a glimpse of Greta was dashed.
