chapter 5: Drinks

I entered Alex car and after putting on my safety bellt .he started the engine and we went to god knows where.The silent inside the car the killing me and something things were running through my mind.

I broke the silence "where are we going?" I asked ."I cannot tell you will see just have patience"Alex said smiling which really pissed me off.

"for how long have you and Mellica been dating ?" I asked looking be throw the window admiring the green environment it was breath taking.

"for about two years " he said smiling."mmmh even before she joined my agency so she lied to me I should terminate her contract " I said angrily .

the rest of the journey was in a total silent.the club was becoming visible I guessed. but before we could get near it Alex turned the car and went to the direction we had come from.

I didn't ask him anything I just allowed him to do as he pleases.i knew the only way to get back on him is by terminating Mellica contract and exposing her for being in a relationship with Alex Price .

I had planned everything and I was just waiting for him to take me back to my office,for me to execute the plan with the help of Geoffrey.

we come to this place that looked like an orphanage. the security guard opened the gate " sir what brings you here at this hours? " the guard asked with a smile." am I not allow to come and see my children " Alex said jokingly while smiling.

we went in and the kids come running the moment they saw Alex."uncle Alex is here" one kid said running into Alex arms .

Alex took her and she gave him a kiss in the forehead and Alex Didi the same.All the other kids were now surrounding Alex ."Uncle where is mam Mellica?" another kid asked holding Alex hand while walking back to the house.

"mam Mellica is still at work but she will come a soon as she is done " Alex said and the kids smiled while going back to what they were doing.

"Alex what brought you here at this hours and today is not the movie night " an old woman asked ." I just this the kids and I felt lonely that's why ...oh this is my friend Mark Miller" Alex said gesturing me.

" you are welcome Mark what can I offer you " the old woman said while shaking my hand .

"water will be fine" I said and she left to get me water."Alex what's the meaning of this " I said while he ignored me and went to play with the kids.

I joined them and we started playing board games and they were really good at it " Uncle Mark can you read to us since mam Mellica is not here " one kid said .he was like six years."okay come here" he come and let him sit on my lap as he handed me the book .

"Alice adventure in wonderland it is one of my favorites books" I said to the kids who all answered in a chore for "us too" smiling as they were all gathered around me .

I began reading " Down the rabbit hole ,

Alice,a seven years old girl ,is feeling bored and tired while sitting on the riverbank with her elder sister.she notice a talking,clothes white rabbit with a pocket watch run pads .she follows it down a rabbit hole where she suddenly falls a long way to a curious hall with many locked door of all sizes .she finds a little key to a door to small for her to fit through,but through it ,she see an attractive garden.she discover a bottle on a table labelled ' DRINK ME' the contents which makes her to shrink too small to the key which she had left on the table" I continued read until I finished reading the whole of chapter on.

the kids where so happy and it was time for them to go to bed.After helping Alex tuck them in.we let the place heading back to the city .

" and you seen to be good with kids" Alex asked ."you can say so " I answered."and how is that possible knowing very well you are the last born in your family"

I was lost in thought thinking of her and that mead me worried .

I know she is on safe hand but I couldn't not stop me for worrying still .

Alex snapped her fingers in my face to bring me back from my thought ."what is it missing someone" he said teasing me ." yeah " I said " who is the lucky girl or man " he said .

"I just someone special and close to my heart" I said smiling. "and you haven't answered my question" Alex said. " may be next time I will answer you " I said not wanting to get into the story.

I don't know him that well and I don't think it is the right idea to be open to him ,concerning my personal life .

"what about the drink" Alex asked. "it is not a bad idea " I said my eyes fixed on the road.

we entered into the club and went into the vip section and a two waiters were assigned to us ."about the kids "I asked as we waited for the drinks .

" that's is where Mellica lives " he said smiling."what do you mean live" I asked curiously.since I know Mellica comes from well off family, even her last name is know by everyone .

"that's is not my story to tell maybe she will trust you enough one day to tell you her story..but she is the one that takes care of all those kids" Alex said smiling and by the way she talked was enough to tell me that she was proud of Mellica.

" she was just a fling to me when we started dating but ok be day she told me she wanted me to meet her family,while we were in her car, i told her I was not ready to meet her family and again I knew her father, but to my surprise she did not take the road that was heading to her house.we come to that place and the way she played with those kids made me fill in love with her,she was so natural like she was meant for that and the way those kids loved her it was amazing" Alex said smiling to every word he was saying.

I was lost in word and it made me be proud of her the way she helped those kids.we continued drinking.

" keep Drinking the night is still young" Alex said " I can't I have low tolerance to alcohol " I said but he keep insisted.i took another shots of whiskey .

we continue drinking until I could not take it anymore.Alex was still so we as I try to stand but I couldn't.

"Hey work up time to go home " Alex keep waking he up " just let me be please" I said in a drunken voice.

Alex tried to wake me up but with no avail .he took my hand and placed in his shoulder and helped me to wake up .I staggered and walk out of the club.

I almost fell on the entrance but Alex held me firmly not to let me fell.

"take me home" I said Alex take me a placed me into his shoulder my face facing backward and walked to the car .

"my head hurts " I wake up in the morning complaining. I couldn't even help my head from the bed.

after struggling I managed to wake up and sit on the bed.nothing looked familiar meaning I was not in my house .

I climbed out of the bed but before I could stand I hear the door open and Alex walked in with a glass in his hand.

"how was your night" he said smiling."it was fine but my head hurts" I said standing up.

He went and come back with a glass of water and painkiller."here " he handed me the medicine .I took it and swallowedit." thank you but I have to go" I said standing from the bed.

"going to see Jeremy" he said mockingly

I halted and my heart stared bitting faster.i felt cold and my legs starts shaking .does he know about me and Jeremy .

After composing myself I turned around to face him "what are you taking about and who is Jeremy? " I asked him with a emotionless face.

he just smiled and said " you should tell me you keep calling him last night and you couldn't stop tell me to take you to him"

"I don't understand what you are taking about I have to go to pick up my friend in the airport" I said and walked away.

"let me drive you there "Alex off ."no thank but I have already called my drive and he is waiting outside" I said and walked out without looking back.
