Chapter 4

Camila's POV "Camz, are you ready?" Lauren called. "Yeah," I called back. We then met at the doorway, in the most revealing clothes we've ever worn for this job. "Do we have to wear this?" I asked her. Lauren nodded. I sighed. Lauren led me by the hand out the door. We walked all the way to his house. I was nervous and scared as I always was. "Boo, it's going to be okay. It won't be bad today, I promise," Lauren whispered in my ear as she knocked on the door. He then answered the door. "Come in girls," he said, clearly high as a kite. "You know the policy," Lauren said, not moving and inch closer to him. He then pulled out a thousand dollars and put it in my hand. This couldn't be good. Demi's POV "Oh my gosh, this top looks great on you!" I exclaimed. "Thanks Dem," she replied. Selena then bought the top, and we left the mall. She had seemed out of sorts the entire time, so when we went to dinner, I asked her about it. "Nothing, I'm fine, don't worry about it," she said. Even though I kept on asking, Selena wouldn't tell me why she had been crying. It was honestly really starting to worry me. Finally, the next day came around, and Selena seemed better. We walked together to school and she seemed in much better spirits, which I was happy about. Once we got to school we headed to our lockers, where Miley, Ashley, and Vanessa already were. "You're such a skank," Miley said. Immediately I knew what she was doing. Ally, Normani, and Dinah then came into my view. Miley was clearly talking to Dinah. She bullied those girls all the time, and so did Ashley and even Vanessa. Selena and I never wanted to get in the way, so we just always watched in silence. "So why don't you just die, because nobody likes any of you little p*****s," Ashley added. My attention was turned away from this when Niall started walking towards me. My heart was going a thousand miles a minute because he was so cute. "Hey Demi, see you in class," he said in his Irish accent, then walked away. "I see how much you like him," Camila joked. I was startled because I hadn't even realized she and Lauren were there. The two of them looked as if they had been traumatized, yet were trying so hard to hide it. Lauren's POV Not even wanting to think about the night before, I walked in the school with Camz. "Look, it's Demi and Selena," Camz pointed out in a whisper. She was always like this after things like that. "Okay, let's go," I said, even though I really didn't want to see them. This group of friends was seriously not good news at all. I just wanted to make my sister happy. Although, I couldn't help but notice Miley, Ashley, and Vanessa bullying some girls. One of them was in my class, although I had no idea who she was. This was the only thing I could think about. Maybe the girls would start doing that to us, especially if they found out how we got our money to survive. Sure, girls bullying me at school wouldn't be the worst of my problems, but it would only make matters worse. Besides, I already wanted to die, and I really didn't need something to push me over the edge. Camz would be all alone, and I could never afford that. I had to keep my word to my dad, even though he and my mom never kept their word to us.
