The Shocking Revelation
The Shocking revelation
"Mom, how could you suggest this to father? Am I not your daughter?" a dejected, brown-haired
female who was also a midget cried out in pain.
Her knees gave and she sat on the luxurious bed, her eyes stinging with tears that she tried hard
to stop from rolling down her cheeks. Yet one tear was quite sneaky and managed to escape her
siege, freely rolling down her right cheek.
"Why me, Mum?" she asked emotionally, her lips quivering.
The red-haired lady seated opposite her on a blue couch, reading a political book with a
nonchalant look replied, "Hailey, are you really so blind?" She then put down the book and rose
from the couch, "Have you taken a good look at yourself in the mirror, my dear?" she questioned
with an eyebrow raised.
"I have, Mum, countless times," Hailey responded.
"Then you must be really vision-impaired, Hailey. We don't look alike at all, not even an ounce
of resemblance,"
"You said I took after your late mum," the crying Hailey said in defense.
"Oh, I did?" Hailey's mum c****d her right brow as she fiddled with her braided, waist-length
hair.
In response, the young lady frowned, "What do you mean, mum?" She couldn't nudge away that
ominous feeling that was rising in her heart for some reason.
The woman sat on the bed beside Hailey before a mocking smirk spread across her face, "I'm
glad to inform you that… I lied," she said with a vain look.
Stunned and unwilling to believe what she'd just heard, Hailey asked with her eyebrows
furrowed, "What are you implying, mum?"
"I lied. You, this thing, can never be what I gave birth to. You were simply a means for me to
become what I am today- a beautiful Luna, much treasured by my husband, especially now that I
have my own sons and a beautiful daughter for him- my real children,”
You are trash that I picked up from the dirt, my stepping stone to riches, Hailey. I'm so sorry. I
should have told you earlier," the Luna said in an unapologetic tone before adding, "But it
doesn't matter the timing.
“You're already crying; might as well add to your current pain. Hahaha!" she let out an
unremorseful mocking laughter before rising from the bed and smoothening the creases on her
sparkling purple sequined gown.
"Now that you know, you shouldn't feel too worried. I changed your life, Hailey. You're
supposed to be eating s**t out there in the streets.
But I took pity on you, darling. I made you be this close to luxury for so long. Now it's time to
pay me back the favour, don't you think?" The woman sat on the couch again, and had her
personal maid, Raliana, pour wine on two glasses. The blonde maid knelt and handed the glass to
her master with her head bowed.
"Your wine, My Luna," she said in a soft voice.
With a conceited look, the Luna took the glass from her hand and motioned to her maid to hand
over the other glass cup to the heartbroken young lady.
Raliana stood up and arrogantly walked to Hailey, forcing her to hold the wineglass, after which
she headed back to her master's side, now wearing a blank face.
Hailey felt that this maid's expressions changed faster than the flipping of a page. But that wasn't
the important thing here.
The Luna held up the glass of red wine smilingly, "Cheers, Hailey, to your doom!"
Hailey placed the wineglass on the bedside cabinet before running out of the room, covering her
mouth amidst the Luna's laugh of ridicule.
Hailey ignored the servants bowing to her as she ran in the passageway until she entered her
room and shut the door. She then collapsed to the floor as her knees gave out.
The tears that she'd been holding back gained freedom at this point and rolled down her cheeks
in torrents as she cried out her sorrow with her chest heaving.
"Moon Goddess, what wrong have I ever committed? Why bring me to this life if this is how I'm
to end up?" she yelled out in frustration, yanking her hair, "Why're you doing this to me?"She
lamented in pains.

Hailey Storm was 18 years old, a princess of the Silent Moon pack, loved and respected by most,
except a few people- the Luna whom she'd always called mum, her younger siblings, and even
the Alpha King, Richard Storm.
She'd tried her best to be the proper princess, doing everything to win their approval but instead ,
they rewarded with a sentence of doom.
Luna Mildred Storm had slyly requested the Alpha King to marry Hailey to the useless Alpha
Prince of the Silver Soul pack in place of Emily, her younger sister. It was rumored that he was
terminally ill, crippled, and blind in one eye.
On top of that, he had a bad temper and often had servants killed; even his own father disliked
him. All the women who married him died on their wedding night and Emily was supposed to
wed him as the fifth bride in three days.
Hailey knew nothing of the Luna's plan until last night when the Gamma, Gabriel Hemsworth
delivered a letter to her in the imperial garden. On opening it, she saw it was a decree from the
Alpha King for her to replace Emily as the bride.
Unwilling to accept it, this morning she confronted the Luna, who not only told her that she
influenced the king's decision but also heartlessly revealed that they weren't mother and
daughter! How cruel she was!
The pack's security was tight; escaping was impossible. Why was life toying with her like this?
"So, I have just three days to live, huh? Luna Mildred, are you happy now? This is the perfect
way to get rid of me?" she muttered dejectedly.
The door opened and her personal maid, a tall, slim lady with dark skin and short black hair
walked in, carrying a golden tray containing several beauty treatments.
"Princess, it's time to begin your special beauty treatments in wait for the big day," said the maid
in a polite tone after curtseying.
"Take them away!" the bereaved Hailey yelled.
Contrary to her mistress’s orders, the maid headed to the bed and placed the tray on it, "Princess,
please cooperate with me. I need to prepare you as the Luna ordered," she pleaded.
Vexed, Hailey rose from the floor and stormed to the maid, "Do you need hearing aid, Selina?"
she growled angrily.
The maid quickly dropped to her knees, her head bowed, "Please, quell your anger, My Princess.
The Luna's orders must be carried out unless my head will lose it place from my neck, if she
finds out I disobeyed. Please, cooperate with me, my Princess. I share your pain. I am willing to
follow you to the Silver Soul pack if needed," Selina said in a small voice. She was there when
Hailey opened that damn letter last night.
"I don't need you to follow me, Selina," Hailey took the tray from the bed and headed towards
the room's door.
Seeing this, the startled maid quickly rose to her feet and chased after her mistress but Hailey
motioned for her to stop where she was.
"If you take a single step, I will slit your throat,"
Reluctantly, the maid called out, "But My Princess…"
"Not another word from you, Selina! Not another utterance!" Hailey warned.
The maid nodded and then knelt again, "Forgive me, My Princess," she said softly, slapping
herself thrice across her right cheek as hard as she could.
Hailey harrumphed on seeing this and stormed out of the room with the tray in her left hand.
"Greetings, My Prin…" The maids who were passing by the passageway couldn't finish their
sentence as they were stunned by the vexed look on Princess Hailey's face.
She'd always worn the gentle face of a proper princess. Now, seeing her like this, she was almost
unrecognisable. However, as maids, they knew not to butt in others' business. That was the way
to stay alive longer in this palace.
On the way to the Luna's room- Hailey's intended destination- a certain red-haired lady wearing a
sexy black dress that really accentuated her feminine shape blocked the incensed princess' path.
"Big sister, long time no see. I almost couldn't recognize you since you look so… weird," the
young lady said coquettishly, much to Hailey's disgust.
Gasping, the lady retreated by a step, "What's with that look on your face? Aren't you happy to
see me, big sis?" the lady said with a pained expression of which Hailey knew all too well that it
was phony.
"I don't have time for your filthy games, Emily. Get out of my way, b***h!" Hailey spat. At this
point, since she was already a dead man walking, it was no use pretending to be nice to Emily.
Last year, Hailey had found her mate and she was super excited to see him but he surprisingly
rejected her, calling her a slut. Turns out this Emily had 'kindly' fed him with so many lies about
her to the point that he only felt disgusted towards her and upon their meeting, he cruelly
rejected her.
Hailey and Emily never saw eye to eye since then and as much as possible, she avoided any
chance of encountering her sister. Now this stinky she-wolf had suddenly blocked her path. What
was her intention?
"Big sis, I'm not leaving until you tell me where you're going with this tray. The things on it are
rare and pricey. Are you going to gift them to someone else?"
"Of course, I'm going to gift them to your mum!" Hailey growled. As she tried to continue
walking, Emily blocked her path again.
"I said get out of my way!" Hailey yelled, pushing Emily so hard that she fell to the floor and her
head hit the wall.
Hailey, knowing Emily well, knew all that was bluff so she harrumphed and continued marching
to her destination.
