The jar of purified water came out of its place right under the counter cabinets and Jack popped the jar open as he felt Mason come up on his right, propped up against the sink’s edge to watch. He dipped his fingers into the cool water and pressed dots into the four corners of the counter surface with whispered words of cleansing. After that, he dribbled a sizable portion of the jar out onto the wood and slicked it all between the four points.
