Finding Love In Two

Chapter 4

Hunters P.O.V

I looked out the window. Someone was limping towards our house. I walked towards the door, Hayden right behind me. When I opened it we instantly recognized her and the her smell.

Leo.

"Leo?", Hayden yelled. She stopped walking, then collapsed. With my werewolf-speed I caught her right before she hit the ground. I took a quick look at her. She had blood on her bottom lip and under her nose and she was completely soaked from walking in the pouring rain. I swiftly picked her up, cradling her in my arms, and proceeded to run with her back to the house. When I got inside Hayden was on the phone with the pack doctor who worked in the best hospital in New York. We both walked up to one of the guest-rooms, I still had Leo in my arms. I gently laid her down in the bed and looked at Hayden.

"What have happened to her?" he asked as he looked at me, confused and pained.

"I have no clue", I responded. We both heard the doorbell ring and I quickly ran down the stairs to the front door. It was Nick, the pack doctor and one of our best friends. I let out a relieved sigh and lead him up the stairs to the guest-room. When we walked into the guest-room we saw Hayden cleaning her of with a wet cloth. The blood on her face was gone and she wasn't as dirty as before.

"What the hell happened here?", Nick asked, walking up to the side of the bed. Me and Hayden both shrugged in unison, not knowing the answer to the question. "Well she's soaking wet", Nick added.

"Well I'll examine her", Nick said, putting down his bag full of supplies.

"Can you change her into to this also?", Hayden asked, holding out one of my t-shirts and a pair of black sweatpants. Nick took the clothes, giving both of us a confused look. Both Hayden and I scratched our necks, almost looking embarrassed.

"Why can't you do it?", Nick asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at us. Me and my twin looked at each other.

"Wait! She's your m-"

"Yeah, yeah she is", I answered and Hayden and I blushed. We both walked out of the room, hearing a faint 'holy s**t' come out of Nick as we closed the door.

We had been sitting in the couch for twenty-five minutes before Nick walked into the room. We both snapped our heads at him while he made his way towards the one of the armchairs.

"Well?", I asked, clearly worried.

"Well, she's going to be just fine", Nick answered and I let out a sigh of relief. I looked at Hayden and saw him relax as well.

"But what happened to her?", Hayden asked. Nick looked at us wit almost a pained expression.

"She has taken a real beating. And by that I mean she has pretty much been used as a punching bag", Nick said and I frowned. Who the hell would do that to her?

"Either way, I examined her and she probably have a some broken ribs. She has a pretty high fever and I'v given her an IV", he continued and handed us some pain-medicine. We both gave him a thankful smile and he smiled back at us.

"I'll be back in the morning", he said, then proceeding to leave.

"Thank you", I told Nick with sincerity. He smiled at me. As he was about to walk outside he suddenly turned around.

"Oh and congratulations!", he congratulated us on finding our mate. Both me and Hayden broke out into wide grins. Nick left and we went to bed.

We stood int he kitchen making breakfast. Leo hadn't woken up yet. We were making pancakes when we suddenly heard a thump on the floor above us and a cry of pain. Quickly we ran up the stair into the Leos room. When we walked in we saw her on the floor. Her face turned into fear as she saw us and she pulled herself away from us.

"No, no no. It's okay. It's us", I said with a calming voice as we neared her. Suddenly recognition spread across her face and she relaxed. Hayden and I smiled at her, thank god she remembered us. I took a quick looked at her and realized she had accidentally ripped out the IV when she fell.

"I'm so sorry!", she said, giving us a apologetic look. Hayden nodded no and held out a hand.

"Let's get you back into bed", Hayden said. She looked at us for a second before answering.

"I can do it", she said. She stood up before either of us could object. Standing up she was stabile, both me and Hayden stood ready to catch her. As she took a step forward, putting weight on one of her legs, her knee folded and she almost fell. We both made a move, as to catch her, but she gave us a deadly glare and we backed of. She made it to the bed and laid down.

"Are you okay?", I asked her.

"I'm fine. Thank you", she said, giving us a smile. We couldn't help but smile back. She looked at us questioningly. We both raised our eyebrows.

"What's your names?", she asked.

"I'm Hunter", I said and smiled. "And I'm Hayden", my twins said and she smiled. Someone knocked on the door. Hayden and I both yelled 'come in' in unison as Nick entered. We greeted him with a smile. He curiously looked at Leo and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Nick!", he introduced himself happily.

"Leo", she replied and smiled.

"This is a doctor and one of our best friends", I explained to her. She nodded understandingly. Nick walked up to Leo, looking over her.

"Well I see someone ripped out their IV", he said with almost a parent-ish, teasing voice. Leo grimaced, embarrassed and we three let out a soft chuckle.

"Sorry", she said, giving a apologetic smile.

"Well, I'll just put another one in", he said, taking a new cannula out of his bag with some other supplies. For a second I saw fear in Leos face, but it was quickly replaced with a nervous smile. Nick went to the right side of the bed, to the hand she hadn't had a cannula in. He wiped the back of her hand with alcohol and took out the cannula. Both me and Hayden noticed her nervous face as he pulled the needle out. Hayden walked over to her, sitting on the opposite side of Nick. He gently cupped the side of her face, moving her face to look at him, and gently rubbed her cheek with his thumb. At first she looked surprised by his touch, but she quickly relaxed and almost leaned into his touch. I just stared at them in awe. It made me so happy to see them together. We had been waiting so long for this.

"Done", Nick said. Leo snapped her head towards him, then to her hand and Hayden retracted his hand. And just like that the beautiful moment was over.
