Chapter 5

Leilys P.O.V I was surprised when Hayden gently cupped the side of my face, making me look at him. I looked into his beautiful, deep, forrest-green eyes. Feeling myself relax and wanting to lean into his touch. He was so beautiful. I so badly wanted to draw him, or really to draw both of them. Wanted to draw all their similarities, but also what made them both unique. Like their eyes, their smiles and their frowns. All these thing that made them identical, yet different. "Done". My head snapped to Nick, then to my hand. The cannula was in my hand. I hadn't even felt it. Hayden stood back up and walked to Hunter who stood in front of the bed looking at me. Nick dragged the IV that hanged on a metal pole to the other side of the bed, where my cannula now was, and attached it to the cannula. "I also put some morphine in there", he said, pointing at the IV. "Thank you", I replied, smiling at him and he smiled right back. "I'm gonna leave you guys then", Nick said and started packing his things. Before he walked out the door, the twins stopped him. "Can we just talk outside", they asked Nick, who just nodded and followed them out. I was left alone int he room and I felt how tired I was. Ten minutes went by and I could feel my eyes close. Suddenly the twins came back and my eyes snapped open. I looked at them and smiled. They returned the smile immediately. "How does some breakfast sound?", Hunter asked with a funny smirk. "That sounds great", I replied. I stood up. As I was about to take a step forward, my knee folded and I almost fell. Both of them made a move forward to help, but I gently rejected their offer. "I'm fine", I said, trying to smile. They reluctantly took a step back from me and we made out way out the door, Hayden carrying the IV and the rack it hung on. As we got out of the bedroom I saw the stairs and internally cursed. I looked at the boys that gave me a questioning look, like 'you really not going to let us help you' kind of look. I turned around and started walking down the stairs. The first step was okay, but as I was taking the second step and putting all my weight on one leg, I wheezed in pain. I arched my back a little and regained my balance. I heard a faint 'f**k this' behind me and all of a sudden I was swept of my feet. Surprised by what happened I looked over my shoulder to see who was carrying me. Directly I was greeted by the light ocean-blue eyes, Hunter. I felt his strong arms wrapped around me, cradling me to his chest. I relaxed a little in his hold, resting my head on his shoulder, and I could se the smirk that spread across his face. We made it down the stairs and I was put in a chair by the kitchen island. The island was set with plates, glasses, juice, but most importantly... pancakes! With the pancakes that had put some jam and syrup on the island as well. I was disappointed that I didn't feel good. They had made all this and I wasn't sure if I would be able to eat a whole pancake. We all took our seats. I was on one side of the island while the boys were at the other side. I took a pancake and put it on my plate with some jam, the boys had already started eating. Slowly I took a bit and almost moaned from the deliciousness. It was the bast pancakes I'd ever eaten. I saw how both of the twins smirked at my reaction and I slightly blushed. "Do you like it?" "It's delicious", I responded and they both smiled. I continued eating, but stooped after six bites when the nausea hit me. It felt like I was going to throw up. I looked down at my food, and couldn't help but give a sad frown. The twins smiles wiped away as they saw my expression. "You don't feel good?", Hayden asked, looking serious. I looked at him in surprise. How did he know? "I'm sorry, it really was delicious it's just the-", I wasn't able to finish my sentence before Hunter started talking. "We know", he said with a sad smile. I looked at them confused. "We talked with Nick to ask how long you would need the IV. He said until you could keep down your first meal. He's pretty sure your gonna throw up because your body isn't ready to deal with the food right now. We just wanted to try", he said as he stood up. I followed him with my eyes as he walked towards me. He offers me his hand. I looked at it for a second before taking it. We walked with my arm around his shoulders, helping me relieve some of my weight, towards the couch where we sat down. Hayden came short after with a bucket. I looked at him and he shrugged. "Just in case", he said a little defensively and teasingly. I sat on the right end of the couch, Hayden to my left and Hunter to the right in front of me in a armchair, the bucket by my right. As we sat there watching tv I felt the nausea getting more and more intense. I really didn't wanna puke. After a while I couldn't keep it in any longer in a second I had the bucket in front of me, throwing up everything I had eaten the last 48 hours. I felt two hands gently pull back my hair and someone else steadying the bucket. My whole body was shaking as I pulled my head out of the bucket. Hunter put the bucket on the floor, handing me a tissue to wipe my mouth with. I took it. I didn't have the energy to smile at him. I relaxed my exhausted body, my head resting against Haydens shoulder. I could feel him stiffen for a second before relaxing as well. He gently put his hand on my forehead, probably trying to feel my temperature. I saw them share a look and it looked like they were having a quiet conversation through their minds. "Why are you doing this?" I asked with a low, dull voice. They both looked at me with surprise.
