"Sorry, we’re late."
That's Diego Fernandez, the head of the student body! He also got that invitation? Wow, there must be special people here. Just look at the girl who entered along with Diego Fernandez. The new student who is popular and talked about all this morning. The belle is very beautiful with a big smile, "Hi everyone!"
Fae smiles automatically when she feels the happy virus spread from the girl. The big girl beside Fae also gives a small smile. Just as the aura of happiness surrounding her, suddenly the girl who didn't even bother to see Fae's arrival opened her mouth with a cold aura, "So, how many more people do we have to wait for?"
The girl beside Fae responded, "I think it’s already all of us."
"How do you know?"
Fae's question made the girl stutter and shake her head, "Mmm.. T-that... The list of names is on the table." Jacky has picking up the sheet and examining it.
"Twelve people."
Fae calculates automatically. They’re all here.
"Okay. I'm just going to say that I don't want to end up being a maid in this place." The woman with long black hair with an aura of horror stood up from her chair and stepped out. When his feet reached the door, Diego Fernandez grabbed the girl's thin arm, “I don't know who you are, but I don't like someone who acts impolite. Go back to your seat."
Diego Fernandez's firm words made the woman glared at the head of the student body. But like a the brave leaders, the man glares back to the woman as well. A few seconds, until the woman forced pulling her arm out of Diego Fernandez's grip and sits back down in front of Jack.
Just then a man laughed. The man who was playing on the cellphone and leaning on the locker, "Don't be oustentatious!" Everybody knows that the man is about to leave the librarian's room, including Diego Fernandez who immediately close the door of the librarian's room and leaned against the door, preventing the man who want to leave, “Obviously I have power in the Azure High area, Logan.”
The man called Logan snorted and gives up. He pulls another chair and sits down next to the belle.
"This is weird."
Jack speaks once more, bringing all eyes on him. But, instead of continuing, the man handed the sheet which was said to contain the list of invitee names to the two men sitting on the sofa. "Just look it yourself."
The two men studied the sheet after the taller one receive it from Jack. "You are right." Said the shorter.
Fae is interested to know the contents of the sheet. Without hesitation she stepped across the room and took a look at the sheet which is contain rows of names. But besides the name, there is several lines of sentences printed underneath.
“Wait a minute, ummm…”
The popular girl cuts in, “I don't know what to call you, especially the two of you holding the letter. Wouldn't it be better if we mentioned our name first? At least the introduction of the names and grades because I'm sure not all of you are freshmen." suggested the girl.
"What for? I won't bother remembering your names. I didn't even think about returning to this place.” This time it is the basketball captain who said so. The man named Logan gives a thumbs up, "You’re really a not-disappointed classmate, Hector."
"I think there’s nothing wrong with that," Fae agreed with the popular girl's opinion. "It's too hard to call you the head of the student body, popular girls, basketball captains, and others," Fae sighed, "So, I'm Faelyn Lorenza. Just call me Fae. I'm in class 2A. Nice to meet you," She lowered her voice slightly as she ended the introduction, "Though some of you already seems like hate to see me."
The chubby girl got up and walked over to the table, putting down the paper cup while saying, “I'm in the same class as Benedict Slayer. You know him, don't you? He's Azure High's proud swimmer." The hand that was held the glass changed its function to point to the man who was now leaning against the locker, but his gaze is still fixed on the toes of the shoes. Fae remembers the name now. She remembers that the man is called as Ben by reader of the school's annual awards. Ben's wet hair explained what he was doing before come into this room.
“We are from class 2S. My name is Aileen Marque. Just call me Aileen, or Leen.”
The sound of someone laughing is heard greedily. Fae snorted when she found that the man who had been playing with his cellphone and forced to get out is where the sounds come from. The man is clearly giving insulting laugh. Coupled with his words after that, "I see your body is not suitable to be called 'Leen', fatty girl."
“Shut up!”
Jacky said that. Fae looks at Leen who just stared at the impolite man with a cold look, different from the look in her eyes a moment ago.
"You'd better use your dirty mouth to say your names." Diego Fernandez speaks from the door.
"Tch!" Fae clearly heard the curse. But like having quirks and multiple personalities, the man immediately turns his face towards the popular girl with a sweet smile on his face, “I'm Logan Leighton. Just call me Logan," Fae frowned when she sees the man suddenly grab a tuft of the new student's brown hair,
“Special for you, just call me Baby, and I'll call you sweet darling."
"Disgusting." Fae comments spontaneously.
“Hey,” Logan suddenly looks at Fae, “I can hear the sound from those little lips of yours. You want to call me by a special nickname too? I can think of one for you." Fae cursed in her mind when she sees Logan's crooked smile. She remembered what kind of smile it is now. The smiles of playboys who won't repent despite being told that the apocalypse is coming.
“You want to make me throw up in your face?” Fae feels that she would not getting along well with Logan.
"Enough."
The belle interrupted, "Keep your hands off my hair, Logan." The girl looks back at Logan with her beautiful eyes, “One more thing, call me by my name. Katherine Delaney. Call me Katy."
"I'm next." The short man with bowl hair and glasses raised his hand, “Nicholas Connor. Call me Cole. I'm from class 3A. And you…” Cole gave the man next to him a chance to introduce himself, “I'm Grant Ayden. I'm in the same class as the student body president."
Grant pointed at Diego Fernandez with his chin. As a gesture, the man takes a turn to introduce himself, “I'm Diego Fernandez. As you know, I'm the head of the student body. I come from class 3S. Nice to meet you guys. Just ask me if you need any help.”
“There are a lot of third generation here. Anyone else?" Katy asked.
“Hector and Logan are also from 3S class, but in the different class from me and Diego.” Grant replies.
"Grant and Diego's class is a normal student class, while Logan and Hector are in a class that is often called 'hopeless class'." Cole added. Grant immediately chuckled, "Don't say that."
"You'd better listen to your friends," Logan smirked once more, "Or should I say your boyfriend?" Cole looks at Logan disapprovingly, but Grant skillfully shifted the topic before turning into an argument. "You'd better introduce yourself - even if you say you don't want to remembering our names and staying here - Hector."
"Hector Zander."
Fae looks at the man. Two people from class 3'Hopeless'S entered the list of 'people who would really argue with her' if there are no sedative around Fae. How could their presence feels different, but have the same annoying damage?
"Okay," Diego takes over. “You two cold-faced new students, introduce yourselves.”
Diego seemed to recognize the faces of the two cold girl during the orientation. One of the people who was about to leave the librarian's room opened her mouth, “Social class. Ivy. Ivyana Taylor." The girl folded her arms as she stood up from the chair she was sitting on, "I don't like being here, so I am leaving now."
But of course, Diego blocked it. Still leaning on the only access in and out that was closed with his body. The girl named Ivy once again chuckled loudly, "I'll hate you if you keep getting on my way."
The sentence of course does not work when spoken to a discipline like Diego Fernandez.
Everyone is silent as Ivy didn't budge. But soon after,
"Please...."
Fae sees the incident with her own eyes. The cold girl who had been adamant, now covered her face and fell on her knees on the cold floor. “It’s tight and red.” Fae could still hear Ivy's whispers though she doesn't understand what she meant.
"You'd better get away of there." Jacky immediately get to his feet and crouched down beside Ivy, "Are you all right?"
Another unexpected thing comes from Ben. The man -without hesitation- pulls Diego who is still in front of the door, opens the door of the librarian's room, and carries Ivy out of the room. Jacky follows Ben and Ivy away.
Fae shouted at Jack who is moving far away, “Hey, where are you going? We're not done here yet!" But of course, Jack ignored it.
