Memory lane

326 Words
The sun is starting to sink in the sky so I pack up my things and start to look for shelter. I walk a few steps and I realise this isn’t where I was last. There is now a couch where the lamp post was and the sun is no longer there, it takes me a few seconds to figure out where I am. He must of brought me here after I fell asleep, I keep thinking this with a secret hope that it’s a lie. I sit back down on the couch I just removed myself from and look around the room. Its exactly the same way I remembered, a small TV sits on top of a table but the table is battered…the curtains are closed so no light can come in or out – kiaton is scared to let it in in case the others come for him – and round dinner table by the far wall stands with only two chairs made for us. I cant help but get the feeling of sadness sink into me because I now understand why he is the way he is…he wants to hold onto the memory of his mum (she is the same as my father but the only difference is that she raised kiaton to be a pure monster). Kiaton comes back into the front room with two mugs of hot chocolate and sets them onto the dinner table. I notice that he has put his shorts on and taken off his shirt so that his muscle’s and tattoo’s are on display. I shuffle in the seat to make my gaze move but I’m just drawn to him, I reach up and let him pull me to my feet. We stand there in an intimate embrace for a few moments before he go over to our hot chocolate. I stare at him thinking of something to say but the silence is too beautiful to ruin.
