SOLACE BEFORE CHAOS

Andree was not able to utter any words, he just raised his wine glass and grin sheepishly, he just followed her with his eyes until she disappears in the crowd.

MJ asked Andree while he was laughing, “what was that?”

Andree answered him back in an irate tone, “stop laughing, I still feel embarrassed.”

Andree led MJ out of the hall then he called up his Grandpa Lino’s security to call the chauffer to get another car to pick them up, they must leave the party by themselves, without him, but Andree also instructed them that he would accompany them on their way to the car and told his security that he would do the security scanning. Andree would not want any devices of any sort in their clothes or on their vehicles. After making sure that we were all cleared he made sue he had a tracker on the car then he called his grandfather and asked, “Are you still coming grandpa?”

Lino replied, “How was the ball?”

Andree replied, it was good, I think, can you still make it? You know.. most of the guests were already leaving.”

Lino answered, “Andree, I would want to go home now, I may not be needed there anymore. I would just head back home to take a rest.”

Andree responded, “If that would be the case, then I would just notify Dr. Duke of the company’s pledge then I would head back home as well.”

Lino agreed, upon ending the call Andree called MJ and asked to meet up with him and instructed him to hand over Ring Gem’s pledge to Dr. Duke. He also instructed him that he would be picked up by a specific car whom he instructed to escort him home, but he told him that he will have to escort him on his way to the car to ensure everything.

After he ascertained that the pledge was announced and that it was acknowledged by Dr. Duke, Andree headed outside the event hall and met up with MJ, just like what he did with his security guards, he administered the security scanning and made see to it the car was tracked.

the event was held in a building owned by Dr. Duke. Just across the park. After sending MJ home, he headed to the hallway leading to the Entrance / Exit used by the guests’ security.

Andree walked just a short distance away from the building where he instructed the security to park the tesla car.

While he was walking on his way to the car, he was able to realize what had happened earlier. He was so stupid, he looked so stupid. Then he thought of Lady Dagger and tried to contemplate on the fact that she was able messed up with his mind. Whenever he thinks of her, he could not use his abilities as if he were a disaster dressed like a person.

Still having the feeling of being ashamed of his actions, he called MJ and asked, “Were we able to tell them our name and our connection to Ring Gem?”

MJ answered confidently, “No, you actually messed up the conversation.”

Andree responded, “I see, I was really sorry about that, there was something that got my attention back there. By the way, were you able to smell the chamomile scent back there?”

He retorted, “No, Although I smelt a nice scent, but I do not know what it was.”

Andree just replied with, “did you try to check where it came from?”

“Nope, I was busy on how to save your arse back there.” MJ answered, “any problem?” he asked, worried.

“Nah.” Andre replied and ended the call.

Andree totally removed his loosened bow tie and decided to have a seat in the nearest step of a tiered structure at the park that serves as stair way and also served as sitting accommodation to the park goers.  As soon as he has taken a seat, he placed his bow tie inside his pocket and unconsciously he placed his other hand in his other side pocket then he looked up the sky and was fascinated by the stars and the full moon.

It was as if he found solace in the presence of the full moon and the stars. After half an hour of making peace with himself, he stood up and walk straight towards the parking area where the Tesla car was waiting for him.

Once again, he never missed to do the strict security scanning for himself and his vehicle. As soon as he got in the car, he started up the car and after and drove off, after a minute or two, he decided to activate the autopilot then removed his coat, left his white long-sleeved polo on, and had the first two button from the top undone.

When he arrived at the company building, he went to his office to the secret room and check on the security cameras that he had installed around the building and inside.  Every day he checked those since he was just being vigilant of any possible dangers that might be lurking around. His lacking in confidence with the security the company had has been augmented by the fact that there were members of the board who were interested with the Caran’s business proposal. The Caran joining the picture is enough for him to be more careful with his plans to secure the future of the company.

Andree was also able to check on the details of the company and its standing, Investment, and equity wise. He checked on the number of shares his grandpa Lino had and the number of shares the major shareholder must have. He also had to consider them being the founder of the company. It seemed like there was a need to buy more shares so Lino could still be in possession of the major shares to retain control over the company. Per his analysis, the Chairman of the board needed to have the highest number of shares compared to the other board of directors’ shares combined, before The Caran comes in.

Andree called his grandpa Lino and told him his plan. He agreed and said he will start to roll out the plan as soon as the next day.

Andree decided to keep everything secured and left the office, he needed to be home so he could have his rest for the next day’s work.
