Chapter thirteen shopping trip

1612 Words
~~Ivy’s P.O.V~~   It started out as just a little trip to the mall to see what I could grab and go, obviously getting something to eat as well, but when I turned around I saw her. She was with a group of werebears, making me softly growl, but not so loud as to alert any of them. What the hell is she doing with werebears? I bet her father wouldn't like this, but then again from what I heard he doesn't even want her around. I started following her around the mall as they went from store to store, but they never came out with any bags, which was strange and then they went to the food court. I was hungry after following them for so long and decided to get something to eat while I kept an eye on her. I went and took a seat at the far end away from them and ordered a slice of pizza, all the time not taking my eyes off her. The kids got up to leave after they had finished and I quickly threw some money on the table to pay for my pizza, left my trash there and followed after them. I tailed them for a bit, until Star turned around and I had to hide. I could smell the fear radiating off her and it made me smirk to know that I had that effect on her, but when I came out of my hiding spot they were gone.   “Damn it.” I said, cursing under my breath and hurried outside. I wanted to see what they were driving so it would be easier for me to tail them, but when I got outside they were gone.   “DAMN IT! THATS JUST f*****g GREAT!” I shouted, hating the fact that I had lost them and couldn't even smell their scents anymore. I stormed over to my car, got in and sped off back home. ~~Star’s P.O.V~~   We got home and I rushed upstairs to go and put all my things away, but when I opened the door everything was already put away. My vanity was put together and all my make-up was neatly set out. My clothes were hung up, folded and put away, my jewellery was set up nicely on my vanity and all my bodywash and everything else was in the bathroom ready for me to use.   “Wow, this is really nice.” I said to myself, looking around. My new dresser was beside the one that was already in here and had some flowers and a huge mirror on it. I walked over to smell the flowers and noticed there was a note there, I picked it up and began to read it.   Hi Star, I had some helpers come and put everything away for you. We want to welcome you to the family, I hope we can talk soon. From Sadie.   I placed the note down, trying to remember if I had met anyone or knew anyone called Sadie and I didnt, well, I couldn't think of anyone. I’ll have to ask Emma later. I went back over to my bed and fell back onto it, enjoying the feel of my new blankets and sheets, when there was a knock on my door.   “Come in.” I said, the door opened and Nash walked in, shutting the door behind him and sitting on the bed next to me.   “Hey, I just came to see if you were okay, you seemed kinda in a hurry to leave after lunch. Are you okay?” Nash asked me, looking really worried. I didn't want to lie to him and say that everything was okay, when it wasn't. I was still nervous about this boyfriend and girlfriend thing and I didnt know how he was going to react or what he was going to say.   “When we left the food court, I felt like someone was watching me and it scared me a little. It sent shivers down my back, but when I looked around I couldn't see anyone and that just creeped me out even more. I didn't want to be there anymore and so I hurried to leave. I’m okay, it just scared me a little.” I said, sighing and Nash nodded. ~~Nash’s P.O.V~~   Why didn't she say anything at the time? We could have found out who it was and stopped them. I really wish she would open up more and tell me things when they happened, she needs to know that she isn't alone in this, we are mates, but how do I tell her without her freaking out?   “It's okay, we have guards that will protect you, Star. it's going to be okay.” I said and then I noticed the book on her nightstand. I looked at the title and nervously gulped. How did she get that book? Has she read any of it yet?   “So, you like reading about bears, wolves and other creatures?” I asked, deciding to test her and see where she stood on this.   “Yeah, I do. It interests me about things like this. I’ve always heard people talking and I found a few books on it, so I decided to read on. If they are really real, then maybe one day we could possibly get to meet them. I know for sure that I would love to meet them.” Star replied, making me nod and sigh in relief.   “Well, maybe one day you will.” I said and leaned over to softly kiss her.   “Get some rest, we have class tomorrow and it's getting late.” I said and she nodded, walking me to the door, I kissed her again, for a little longer this time and then left. She closed the door behind me and I brought my fingers up to my lips, I was so happy that she let me kiss her and I could still taste her on my lips, she really was as sweet as she looked and I loved that about her. ~~Star’s P.O.V~~   I closed the door when Nash left and decided to take a shower, after the long day of shopping we had. I took a quick shower, dried off and put my nightgown on, getting into bed. I grabbed my book and began to read from where I left off from. This time the chapter was entitled Rogue’s.   “What the hell are rogues?” I asked myself and decided to read to get the answer. Rogues are wolves or werebears that have been exiled from their packs, this can be for a number of reasons such as not following the rules or committing a crime against the pack. Rogues are often dirty and disgusting creatures that can often turn feral if without a pack for too long. They are murderous and jealous creatures who hunt, kill, rape and take what is not theirs. They try to take over other packs by killing the Alpha and Luna. once they have succeeded in this they either keep the pack or kill it off to start their own. Every creature has a different scent, except for rogues who all smell the same and that is the best way to identify them, they all smell like rotten eggs and dead fish. They swim in dirty ponds and never have clean clothes or care for their appearance. Watch out for these because as soon as you smell these scents you can be sure that a rogue is close by and they are dangerous. Rogues fight with everything they have and will stop at nothing to get what they want, whether that be territory, women, power or anything else they set their eyes on.    “Wow, they sound really bad. I would like to meet the others, but I don't want to run into one of these anytime soon.” I said to myself and carried on reading the next chapter, which was entitled other were-beings. There are many were-beings all originating from the Moon Goddess, who rules over them all. There are werecats, werepanthers and werejaguars, but there is little to no proof that weretigers and werelions exist, but all of these creatures are of a peaceful nature. Sadly they hide from others due to being hunted by humans who mistake them for actual wild animals. They tend to live in packs and hide from everyone, but there is no need to be fearful of them because they only wish to live in peace. If you are ever to come across any of these creatures, just nod and carry on walking, leave them be. Sometimes in rare instances the werecats can be curious just like a normal cat and they will approach, just let them and they will not harm you. The only times that these creatures will ever harm anyone is if they feel threatened or are trying to protect their packs. I read as much as I could, but then my eyes started to feel really heavy. So I placed the book down on my nightstand and turned onto my side. I couldn't stop thinking about the book and if there were such creatures out there. Were there really werebears, werewolves and more out there that I didn't know about? I didn't want to go into the woods to find out, but it was something that I really wanted to know the answer to. I dozed off soon after, still thinking about it all.
