My Crazy Mate

Chapter 4: OUR MATE!

Nathan POV

I could not understand why my body and mind were so restless and the nice scent of wild flowers so heavy making me feel a mixture of sensations I had never felt before.

I tried not to stare at her so often, but it was really difficult for me, and much more when those two guys got so close to her, I felt like fighting them, but did not know why.

When I saw her get up to go the ladies room, I wanted to follow her, but I knew it was not the best thing to do.  So I excuse myself and told Laura I was going outside for some fresh air.

Once outside I started to feel myself again, until suddenly the feeling got stronger and there she was, coming out the  dinner door, with the nicest movement as she walked.

I could not stop myself when I stand beside her to ask her if she needed to run away from the crowd as I did.

She smiled at me and my head was starting to pound so heavy like if someone was in there and wanted to come out.

But I did not want to leave her, I needed to know more about her and felt so good when she asked me if the meds made me feel better.

I thought that will be the beginning of a nice conversation, when the sound of the door and heavy laughters interrupted and made me stand back as we was never speaking.

I stand there seeing how she was leaving, with relief since she left in a motorcycle with her friend and the guys took the other direction in a car.

There was not too much time from when they left when Laura, came out the dinner to see how I was doing and to let me know we was heading back home in a few minutes.

She also wanted to know about April, how did we met, but knowing Laura I tried to brush off the topic telling her my head was hurting again.  

She hurried the guys to leave and once home, I jump out the car without saying anything and head inside and downstairs to be able to be alone with myself and figure out my new April issues.

I knew I had to sorted it out to be able to be in control of my head again, it took me 2 years to learn how to live with those voices and my supernatural hearing and could not believe a girl as pretty as April is, will come to alter my life style and mind sanity.

After a cold shower and putting on some soothing music, I tried to fall a sleep, which was a little difficult at first, but once I got it, I went in another strange dream, were the usual wolf named Sigma spoke to me, without moving his lips he just kept telling me in my head...  -  OUR MATE!  SHE IS OUR MATE!

Scared and sweating from head to toes I woke up, trying to figure out why my friend Sigma Wolf, spoke to me this time, in other dreams he just wondered be side me and in others I instinctively felt he protected me from danger, although never knew what danger he was protecting me from.

After I took another bath I decided to go back and sleep, tomorrow I will be able to continue trying to figure it out.

Laura POV

Even though I tried to take Nate out and wanted him to fit in with my friends, I could not get him to want to be there.

I thought he would had left long  before, but it seemed April got his attention and somehow she made it out the dinner and was speaking to him.

I wanted to go and ask what they were talking about, but my friends kept me inside with them.

- Laura give your crazy Bro some space, maybe he will hook up with her and stop wandering alone as always, said Brandon joking around.

- He is not crazy! and there is nothing wrong with him wanting to be always by himself.

After a while I told the guys we should call it a night and that I will be waiting for them outside.

When I got up I saw how Crystal and the other guys had already reached April and how Nathan walked backwards to make himself look invisible for them as he always did, in his way to protect himself.

I ask him how he was doing and how he met April... But he evaded my questioning informing me his head was hurting him again, and I understood he did not want to talk about it.

We got back home in a comfortable silence, I nodded once and again anytime the guys referred to me in their conversation, but my head was wondering about Nate and April.

Will she be a problem for us? or will be just like the others I had to brush off from on top of Nate?

When we reached home Nate jumped out of the car and headed inside directly to his room, I knew I was not going to be able to get any information from him tonight, so I stayed a while outside with the guys planning our next outing.

After I got in the house I went to the kitchen to drink some water, before heading to the bedroom I shared with Sarah, one of the twins, but before I wanted to see if Nate was still awake and went down to check on him.

As I reached halfway on the stairs I could see how he was sleeping and what looked like a dream he was having, but he was so restless and sweating all over his body, that  the first thought came to my mind was that if meeting April will bring back those nightmares he use to have and how will I be able to help him.

I decided to go back up and to head to my room, tomorrow I will try to speak with Nate, he had to understand that no one knew him, concern about him and love him, as I do.
