Chapter 3: Night Out

Nathan POV

I got back to the store a little confused, since I never felt this way before, to be honest I always felt something was not normal with me, after my parents died and I did not have no one to claim me or no where familiar to go.

The years I lived in the foster home, made me a sad, lonely and a mistrusted person and after my 18th birthday, the series of things that was happening in my body, made me feel I was really going crazy.

I started to feel scents, hear noises and develop a strength that was very unusually for a guy who never did sports and those people I heard in my head was the worst part of it.

I usually try to ignore those voices, since I knew that if I said anything maybe no one will believe me or worst they will lock me up in some mental facility, just like when I lost my parents.

I was so absorbed in my thoughts I did not see Laura when she came in.

- Hi Crazy Boy did you get your meds?

- Oh Yeah! how were things while I was out?

- You know, the usual , hey listen later the guys and I are going for a shake at the dinner, do you want to go?

- I really do not like those guys, you know I rather stay home.

- I know, but maybe if you get out the house a little, you will have less headaches, come on let's go, please.

- Ok, but just a while, you know I cannot say no to you.

Laura walked of giggling and making a funny dance.

I followed her, since we already closed the store, going through the door that connected the store to our home.

The twins received us, and jumped each one in Laura's and my arms, telling us how were their day at school.

I heard them, spoke a while with Gloria, who told me dinner will be ready in 30 minutes and went down to the basement where I've moved to, from I were 18, getting a little privacy and giving my brothers some space.

Decided to take a shower before dinner and the outing with Laura's friends.

Laura POV

I finally got Nathan to accept to go with me and my friends to chill a while, so I needed to take a bath and put on something to be able to eat dinner before outing.

When I finally dressed and went down, I saw Nathan with a blue jeans and a black tees, which will be normal for any other guy, but that made him look really handsome.

We finish our meal and heard a car horn, just in time, it was Justin, Brandon and Sally that came to pick us up.

- Let's go Nate, hurry!  I said to Nathan that was dragging slowly towards the door.

- Ok Ok....Im here.

- Hi guys, I said lively as I got in the car, Nate also mumbled a salute.

I was so excited to have him with me, since I cared for him and did not like him to be always so lonely, although it seemed that he loved to be alone.

We reach in about 15 minutes, since Lake's Dinner was not so far, and we saw how the place was already full with many people, and our friends waved at us from one of the center tables.

Everything was just fine, till I felt Nate a little restless and as I was going to ask him, what was wrong, I followed his sight and saw he was looking directly to April and Crystal table, that made me a bit defensive.

April POV

After leaving the Pharmacy as soon as I reach home, saw Crystal waiting for me at my house porch.

- Hey girl, how was that first day at work?

- Well, ok, but what happen just a while before leaving the Pharmacy was the best of the day!   I told Crystal still remembering Nathan and the effect he caused on me.

- I met a guy name Nathan, really handsome and don't remember seeing him around here, I really don't know what got in to me when he entered the pharmacy, it was like his presence opened and hold new universe for me.

- I'm sure he also felt it, since he stared at me for a while and ask me for my name;  I said a little thoughtful.

- Ok tell me all about that youngman, while you getting dress, we are going to Lake's Dinner to celebrate your first day and that someone finally caught your attention.

We entered the house and as usual, there was a snack on the table and a letter from Mom, saying she had came home to change, to go to her other job.    Dad was also rushing out since he had some kind of business reunion tonight, gave me a peck on my forehead, said Hi to Crystal,  ask me about my first day and left.

After Crystal and I pick up the snack , head to my room and she listened to me fantasize about this handsome boy I just met today.

- Well Crys! I'm ready! let's get some shakes!

As we arrived at the dinner, we saw it was usually full, since in town we didn't have many places where young people go out, chill and have fun.   It was the dinner or the movie theater.

We went in and went straight to the table we usually sit on.

After we ordered and say hello to many  of the youngsters who were around the place, I suddenly started to feel heated and the same scent I felt earlier before I met Nathan.

As soon as I look at the entrance of the dinner I knew it was him, and when he looked back at me with those nice yellow grayish eyes, it was totally confirmed, since he smirked at me.

I was so confused, since I have never seen him there before  and then saw he came in with Laura at his arm, made me feel a little disappointed.

Crystal saw my reaction and instantly remembered what I  told her earlier then said:

- Oooohhhh your Nathan is Laura's Nate,  OMG, how couldn't I figure it out before, she finished slapping her forehead.

The only thing I could mumble was: - Laura´s Nate?

Crystal understanding my confusion rapidly said: - Yes, They are Siblings, Nathan is Laura's Adoptive Brother.

- Oh I see, the way she had him pin to her, made me jump into conclusions, and then your statement made my mind blow. I said with relief.

We laughed a while and then started speaking to a couple of guys that went over to our table to say hello, wanting to stay with us as usual. 

Although Crystal and the guys were speaking about a possible double date, I was not into that conversation at my fullest, since I couldn't stop feeling the dizziness that the Denim Musk scent was making me feel and the urge to look over were Nathan was seated.

I excuse myself and got up to rush to the ladies room, so I could have a little time for myself and to be able to understand my feelings.

But even in there the scent was so heavy I felt I needed to head outside for some fresh air.

When I got out the bathroom and made Crystal a signal that I would be outside for a while, I glance over at were Nathan was seated, but did not see him, maybe he had leave.

I got out and started to catch some air, when I heard a voice beside me... - Did you need to get away too?

I did not need to see who spoked since the scent and the voice was already warning me that Nathan was close to me.

I gave him a small smile and answered that I really did not need too, but wanted to catch some fresh air.

When I finally turn to him I could see that even if he looked fresh and confident, there was something he was fighting within.

- Did the med help you some?

- Oh yes, it always do, there are days my migraine is more intense than others, but I'm good.

When I was going to ask him more about himself, Crystal and the guys opened the door and was laughing so loud, Nathan seem to get scared away.

We went home, since I had to work the following day, but once in my bed in was very hard to fall asleep, Nathan scent an image had my whole body, wondering and wanting to know more about him.
