We must have been sitting in that meadow for days talking from the moment Wyatt told me his name. Senna was enjoying her time with Conri, Wyatts wolf. In the meadow, our bonds strengthen. As wolves we are able to use it to share our minds completely and when there are no secrets it helps our bond grow even stronger to the point that at our strongest, our wolves eye colour will either swap completely or blend together. The stronger the bond, the higher the chance of the swap will be, and in that moment, our strength will be equal too.
Seeing Senna, I knew I had to show Wyatt what I had done over the past 4 years since I met alpha. I just hoped he could forgive me. Even though I could never forgive myself.
I closed my eyes and opened my mind to Wyatt, and instantly, he knew I was going to show him everything that I had been holding back. Tears welled in my eyes from the memories of failing my pack. I never wanted to cover up alpha's murders but I had no choice not to. In that moment, Wyatt saw me speaking out against alpha for the first and last time. I had gone to our elder council to report what had been done. As I entered the building, I felt scared and intimidated by the vastness of the rooms. As I got to the centre council chamber, there was only one elder present. But in that moment it didn't matter to me I had to tell them what was happening. I had blurted it all out so fast but the elder was prepared to take action immediately but it wasn't fast enough because the second his call started before anyone could even answer, his head was removed from his shoulders. That night, alpha warned me throughout hit beating that if I tried it again, he would slaughter everyone. From that moment, he would attack me every time I didn't come to his beck and call.
Sharing this with Wyatt, I was in tears, feeling everything all over again. Wyatt consoled me the whole time telling me it wasn't my fault, but I still felt it was no matter how he put it. I should have tried again or done a pack announcement, but I was too afraid.
As we got up from the grass, Senna and Conri came to us, and I heard Senna ask me if I was ready to accept the bond. I nodded and walked towards the bridge. Senna walked next to me, and we crossed together as we crossed. Sennas fur began to change colour. The shock on my face was evident as Senna looked at me puzzled until I pointed wordlessly to her fur as she looked at her paw she looked up and released a howl unlike any she had ever given before. Her fur had gone from auburn to jet black with red flecks. But most interesting was her eyes. No longer golden but pure silver. The bond was now completed on the spiritual side. The second we both got on the other side, I woke up next to Wyatt. As he woke up too, we felt eachothers emotions in sync and felt drawn to each other stronger than ever before. As we lunged at each other to kiss in a heated passion, we were suddenly interrupted in the midst of our first kiss. As the door flung open, it crashed against the wall. Causing us to spring apart panting heavily.
