Shocking Secret
The sight before her had sent hot tears flooding down her eyes. Words became hard to say as her whole body trembled with a stabbing pain.
"You--you said that was the end!" Kelly said at last, walking away from a tall fit man. He followed her around.
"It was a mistake, huh? What were you even doing at home, you were supposed to be with Taylor helping at her salon." The man said.
Justin Gray and Kelly Benson have been married for three years, but he always flirted around like a single man who was desperately searching for love. Always sleeping around with different ladies and spending money on them without caring how his wife felt.
But today, he had the nerve to bring the slut into their house, on their matrimonial bed!
"Justin, this is the height of it all. Why do you hate me like this!" Kelly spat out her rage freely.
"Listen, we can talk about this later. That lady upstairs, her name is Lisa Rodriguez. Can you believe it! I need to drop her home safely and be back for our anniversary party." Justin said.
Kelly couldn't believe him. "So what are you trying to say? That I'm overreacting? I am your wife, Justin!"
"Woman, you're yelling too much. Do you want your blood pressure to rise? Let me go now. It's already past noon and I have to be home before 6, right?"
More tears striped down Kelly's eyes. Today was their supposed anniversary, and Justin acted like she was not important to him at all.
"What? Are you tired and want a divorce? Just because of this? You won't even reconsider that she's Lisa Rodriguez, daughter of famous superstar, Ben Rodriguez! I did a lot of work to bring her home, you know. And I won't let you ruin this." He said, walking away from her.
Kelly couldn't let that happen. She ran after him, tears still filling her eyes. "You're not going to apologize? So you don't think this is called cheating?"
Suddenly, Justin stopped and flashed cold eyes on her. "Look at you trying to act like my wife. Have you forgotten why this marriage was held in the first place? It's so I can help you and your poor family. Have you suddenly forgotten how much your family has gained from me? The free gifts, free money? And now you're acting like we are equal."
Kelly shivered. "Justin! How dare you."
"You are not the kind of woman to have any shame because you lost it all when you agreed to marry me for my wealth. Why should you expect me not to live my life and turn into a slave of a husband for you?"
"Justin, I've asked nothing from you. All I want is that you acknowledge me as your wife and stop sleeping around!"
"Do you think that's what this is? I'm going out with these women so I can help grow my business, my status. But you can't relate now, can you? The only money in your bank account is the one I put in it." Justin said.
Kelly couldn't understand how mean he could be?
"Go and meet the maids and help with the anniversary preparation. I'll be back before evening. And let's continue this headache by then." And with that, he walked out on her.
The maids were staring at her now so Kelly wiped her tears quickly.
"Alright, let's get to work." She managed to say to them.
Yes, she married into a rich family, into the Gray household, the owners of a big bank in New York (Grayson Bank), but Kelly didn't feel like a rich woman. She had been ordered by her mother in law to work for her money by following the maids around and doing what they did.
So she cleaned the house, washed the dishes too, cooked, cleaned and folded clothes. She ran errands for her mother in law as well as her sister in law.
And she put up with all of their insults. If she stopped, where would she get money to take care of her family? For three years she endured this torture.
Evening came and the few guests had started to arrive. Her mother in law, Meghan, and her sister in law, Taylor had arrived as well.
"Hey Kelly," Taylor called. "The guests are already waiting for your husband. Where is he?"
Taylor was a spoiled brat who dropped out from college and opened her own salon. She was two years younger than Kelly, but she treated her with no respect at all.
"That's right. These important people are already waiting to see my Justin. Where is he?" Meghan asked.
Meghan was a witch, very cold and mean at all times, and she too hated Kelly with passion.
"I will call him again, ma'am." Kelly said to Meghan.
She had been trying to reach Justin since but he wouldn't pick up.
Another hour and Justin was not back yet. People began to point fingers at her and mocked her.
"She's a gold digger, don't you know? Forced her way into the Grays household." Said one lady to her friends.
"That's true. She must have done something to offend Justin. That's why he's not here yet."
"Or maybe he's busy while she's there spending his money on extravagant parties like this."
They all giggled, knowing Kelly could hear them.
She gritted her teeth and walked away. Pacing around trying to calm her nerves, she found herself at the entrance of the kitchen.
Taylor's voice halted her from going inside.
"--been able to reach brother. He says he's coming with Lisa Rodriguez! I'm so excited."
"But what about Kelly? Ugh. She's going to start crying everywhere now once she sees he's with another woman already." Meghan sighed.
"Well she has no choice. She's not going to die anyway. I mean did she die when Mary was pregnant then?" Taylor said.
"Yes, that's true. But I don't think Kelly knew I would have welcomed a grandchild into this household if Mary had not had a miscarriage." Said Meghan.
Kelly gasped at that, then before any one of them could sight her, ran forward to head out. She needed fresh air.
Pregnant?
Meghan wanted a grandchild? Then why did she threaten her not to give birth yet? And why has Justin said the same thing too, time and time again?
"Where do you think you're going?" A voice said to her from behind.
