Her words sliced my heart, those words were laced in pure hatred, the anger came from the bottom of her heart.

She doesn’t want me in her life.

My mate, the girl who supposed to love me unconditionally, despises me but I love her with every single cell in my body.

I couldn’t tell her that I have been waiting for her for over a decade, I didn’t leave any single pack in search of her. Honestly, I lost all hopes of ever finding her but I never gave up. Something within me encouraged me to keep searching and last night, my wait and patience bore the fruit.

I found her, my mate, my Seline.

But she hates me like others. She thinks I am a demon who kills people unnecessarily. I hope she’ll learn the truth about me which the world doesn’t know.

I had to create the image of ‘Hades’ to protect the secret of my bloodline. I had to protect my mate from the enemies, if they found out her before me, she’d end up dead. Only ‘Hades’ could save her.

“Alpha, your mother is here to see you. Shall I send her inside?” Dylan’s voice put a pause on my conflicting thoughts and I tore my gaze from the setting sun. I was standing near the window of my office.

The mention of my stepmother spoiled my mood even more but she is respectable by the Pack. She is the senior Luna until my mate is officially announced as the new Luna.

“Send her in.” I allowed him against my mind.

A moment later, my stepmother Valeria Steele walked in. She is a regal woman who holds a domineering aura.

“I heard a rumour when I walked passed the warriors who accompanied you to your last night’s raid, Sebestian. Is it true that you have found ‘her’?” Her question emphasized on her last word.

Her eyes were pointed at me.

“Yes, I have found my mate and if you had the right information, why there was a need to be this dramatic?” I rolled my eyes. I had a bored expression.

I heard her scoff.

“Well, I am your mother and the Luna of this pack, Sebestian. I have the rights to know what happens at this pack. Remember, your father asked me to take care of you and this pack before he…” She paused when I gave her a pointed look.

“You’re not my mother, Luna Valeria and I am the Alpha whose duty is to protect this pack and I think I am playing my role well. I do not need you to worry about me or this pack. You may take your leave now.” I reminded her place.

Her face turned red with anger and her shiny black eyes turned dark. White flames radiated off her body.

“Do not forget who I am, Sebestian. I am the reason your pack is living and protected till this day otherwise they would have ended like your father, ridden on bed, almost dead and your mother died. I saved you from the curse so keep this in your mind when the next time you disrespect me.” She rubbed the favours she did for us years ago.

“Do not need to bring my mother in our conversation.” I glared her and a smug smile spread on her lips.

“Then be a good son and treat me with respect, Sebestian. I support you in everything you do. We have been together in this. Trust me, I only want us to live our lives peacefully but you make it difficult.” She said, her eyes were back to their normal colour.

“I found my mate in the Yellow Stone Pack but he wasn’t there. I think we have searched him almost in every pack. He has disappeared from the face of the earth.” I said and her face became hard again.

She gripped the edge of my desk.

“No, he is here, always around us, Sebestian. It just, you are not doing it in the right way.” She sneered.

“Valeria, he is a wizard, one of you and you should be the one to hunt him.” I retorted back and she took a step back as my eyes begun to turn dark.

My wolf, Blaze wanted to take my control and rip her because he hates her guts.

“I am not like him. I am half werewolf and my powers are not as great as his. We need to find him at any cost or we all will perish and this time, your mate’s life is also at stake. Do you really think he must not have found out by now? Such news spread like wildfire.” She hit my weak nerve.

“Seline is safe here.” I retorted.

“How long? Sooner or later she will find out about the curse. It will perish her along with us.” She raised her brow.

I closed my eyes and let her bitter but true words sank in my mind.

“I want you to keep your distance from Seline. This is not a request but an order from your Alpha, Valeria.” I tilted my head to her side to warn her because her wicked intentions were never hidden from me.

She saved our pack and my life for a reason I had been trying to find out for years.

“Alright, I won’t go near your mate but will you be able to stop Davian?”

Her words made my brain to go fuzzy.

“Davian? Is he back?” I asked with a frown because he is always the bad news.

“Yes, he came last night and he is eager to meet his big brother.” She tried to rub salt on my wounds.

“f**k! I need to fix everything before he creates another havoc in my life.” I muttered and stormed past her to see if Seline was okay because my stepbrother isn’t someone I can afford anywhere around my mate.
