Alpha Hades

Chapter-[4]

[ Seline ]

“Don’t. Don’t hurt my father, my family or any single member of this pack. You have already done the damage for my family to bear for the rest of their lives.” I said in a cold tone to the man who stood before me unbothered after killing a young man.

His golden eyes flickered on me and his jaws ticked before he exhaled a deep breath. My mother rushed to me and pulled me into her arms, I didn’t realise that I was shaking until I feel the warmth of her embrace.

“Alpha, I think it’s a mistake or some kind of confusion. My daughter can’t be your mate. She’s much younger than you.” My mother pleaded him in a low voice, the fear was visible in her teary eyes.

“There’s no mistake, Judith, I am your daughter’s mate and you know this very well. I am not in a mood to kill anyone else tonight. So, let’s finish this on a peaceful note. Seline is coming with me. As her mother, farewell your daughter with your blessings, am I right Alpha Jason?” Hades’ eyes diverted on my brother who was taken aback by his addressal.

I and others also gasped. Alpha Jason, who was mourning his son, rose from the ground in fury and marched towards Hades who stood unfazed but my heart jumped into my mouth.

“What are your intentions, Hades? You were satisfied after killing my heir and now you want this Beta’s insignificant son as the new Alpha. He has to kill me first if he wants to take my position and you are no one to decide.” Alpha Jason sneered at Hades and I feared if he was the next to die.

“Zeke Pierce, your old Alpha is calling you an insignificant kid. Do you want to prove him wrong by claiming the position because I am not in a mood to smear my hands in the blood of a coward who was forcing your sister with his son to save himself from me.” Hades said to my brother and I was shocked.

“No! My brother won’t kill anyone nor he’s interested in killing someone like you to prove his abilities.” I interrupted him but before I could receive a response from him, a painful cry stunned me followed by screams.

When I turned around, I saw my brother on all his four, shifted into his big grey wolf, standing on Alpha Jason’s gutted body.

“I hope you prove yourself a worthy Alpha for your people, Alpha Keith and vow your loyalty to me and my pack if you want peace to establish between our packs. I promise to supply timbers to you since this area doesn’t has good quality of hard woods which you need.” Hades said to my brother with his head held high. My brother bowed to him in agreement.

I shook my head and retreated from there. My mother was sobbing on my father’s chest. I won’t accept this violent life, I’d rather live like a low life human and be happy than seeing Hades’ cruelty and sick minded ideology to prove his dominance and power.

“Mate, now no one would dare to question your family because your brother is their Alpha from this moment onwards and our people don’t dare to defy or disrespect their Alpha and his family. See, I solved your problem. I am not bad as people think, I only fix things.” Hades used softer tone with me. His eyes lingering on me and hands aching to touch me.

I know the wolf bond is powerful and intense. Mates can’t stay away from each other and currently, I was fighting my wolf who was trying to connect with his and he knew it.

“I can’t…” I whispered and turned on my heels.

I didn’t know from where I got this strength, I started running towards the woods, the denser forest to escape from this situation. I am an athlete in my school so it wasn’t hard for me to sprint fast and disappeared out of his sight. I could feel him coming behind me. he’d catch me and probably, I’d fall prey to his wrath but I didn’t care.

I pumped my legs faster the moment I heard a thundering growl echoed through the woods, he was closer. I knew I had no match to him, soon he’d find me and trap me. So, shifting into my wolf form was my only option which I hadn’t done in months.

“Shift, Rose.” I ordered my wolf.

“Why are we running from our mate, Seline? This is our life, we can’t escape it forever and our mate makes us stronger.” Rose tried to convince me but my fear overcome my bond and sensibility.

“I SAID SHIFT!” I roared and she had no other choice. Within seconds, I was on all my four, my vision sharpened and I could hear hundreds of paws hitting the ground. He was coming after me with his wolves.

I kept running, dodging the trees in my way, I wanted to turn around and see how far they were but I focused on running even if it was a futile attempt. I’d be dead if I surpass the borders of another pack either. My wolf began to resist and whimper as I tried to separate her from our mate, it was a sin but I love my freedom more than anything.

An earth shattering growl thundered in the sky, Hades was wreathing in anger and I was only adding fuel to the fire. I refused to give up. If I had the slightest chance to regain my normal life, I’d chase after it.

I wanted to cry, how could my mate be none other than the personification of a horrible nightmare? He is a malicious beast, not from the stories I heard from my Dad but I saw how vindictively he played minutes ago.

I could see the river, I remember, across the river is a group of caves where I could hide easily but the next moment, I was tackled to the ground. My wolf whimpered in pain as my back hit a rock. Those amber eyes were staring down at me as the big wolf hovered above me. my heart stopped beating.

Was it my end?

He shifted into his human form, his face contoured with mixed emotions but I could say that he was angry for sure.

“Shift!” He used his Alpha tone on me and I had no other choice but to shift.

I shifted and coiled myself as I was hell embarrassed to be naked in front of a man. His eyes colour changed, a low sound escaped from his throat. He threw his shirt over me.

“Wear it.” He said in a softer tone.

It smelled of him. I quickly covered myself. Nudity is very common in our race but I wasn’t like one of them.

I found myself being lifted off the ground. I gasped when his strong muscular arms twisted me around and I bumped into his hard chest, sparks erupted on my skin as soon as our bodies touched. I am sure he felt it too as he sniffed on my neck.

“Why did you run, Seline?” He asked me in a low voice.

I forced myself to look at him. I stared into his golden eyes and for the first time I observed a rim of pale blue around those golden freckles. We were silent, none of us saying a word. I could feel warmth radiating through our bodies, I never felt this good before. I shuddered when his fingers gently removed my sweaty locks from my face. A hint of hurt flashed through his cold exterior. The man whom everyone feared even in their sleep, stood still in front of a tiny girl like me.

“Are you scared of me, mate?” He asked me, this time his words came out like a whisper.

I had to be honest with him. Even though, I wasn’t ready to be mated and continue living my old life. I couldn’t deny that his desperation and fear of rejection hurt me too.

I bit my inner mouth and nodded slightly. His eyes colour changed. His grip around me loosened a bit.

“But why, I’d never hurt you?” He sounded a little offended and angry.

“I am not ready yet. You know nothing about me and my life so you won’t understand, Hades.” I mustered up my courage and said what I felt.

“Sebastian, it’s Sebastian for you, mate.” He said in a stern tone. He didn’t like when I addressed him like others.

“Just leave me alone.” I turned my head to the other side but it left opposite impact on him and in the next second, I was lifted off the ground.

“Alright, you don’t understand a civil language, feisty mate. Let me show you who is your mate and why he’s called Hades.” He said and turned back towards the pack.

Words failed to leave my mouth, all I wanted was to get away from him. So, I attempted to pull, all I wanted was to squirm out of his grip, only to have him growl in aggression.

“Stay still, you’re making it impossible for me to control myself from claiming you right here.” He said in a deep tone and it was enough for me to give up.

Warm tears again brimmed into my eyes and I regretted for not going with my friends and come here in this hell.
