The Escape

Patty unhooked the IV bags from Taylor, then took the IV out. Patty threw everything away and then did vital checks on Taylor as well. Taylor began to stir awake finally and Patty smiled. Zag walked into Taylor’s room and saw Taylor beginning to wake up. “Mrs. Patter will be leaving after Taylor goes to her therapy appointment. Everything else is all set.” Zag informed Patty as he walked over to Taylor and kissed her forehead. Zag looked at Patty and said, “I will go to my position and we will meet once everything is set in motion.” Patty nodded and said, “sounds good. We will meet up at the spot.” Zag left and headed to his spot, waiting for Mr. Robert. Taylor opened her eyes looking around and seeing Patty sitting next to her. “What happened? I was dreaming and fell asleep in my dream. I didn’t think I’d ever wake up.” Taylor said to Patty. “There is no time to explain right now. You need to go get your shower and eat, then head to your appointment.” Patty said to Taylor as she stood up and gathered her things. Patty then left Taylor’s room. Taylor thought that was really odd, but didn’t question it. She got up and headed to the bathroom. Chloe followed her into the shower, making Taylor laugh.

Taylor allowed Chloe to come in the shower with her and Taylor washed Chloe and herself. Chloe shook her fur and waited for Taylor to dry herself off so that she could dry Chloe with a towel. Taylor dried Chloe and then started getting herself dressed. She put her new clothes on with her boots and set her leather jacket on the chair. Taylor fixed herself breakfast and fed Chloe. “Chloe, do not let anyone see you today. Make sure you hide, I have a feeling something big is going to happen today.” Chloe meowed and finished eating her food. Taylor cleaned her dishes off and set them in the dish strainer. She looked and Chloe had finished all of her food as well. Taylor giggled and picked the bowls up, then washed them and set them to dry. “Okay, I will be back soon.” Taylor said to Chloe as she picked her jacket up and put it on. Taylor left her room and locked it. Taylor stopped for a moment and thought, “this is deja-vu for some reason.” Taylor shook her head and began walking to the elevators. A light flashed in her eyes and she said, “Hey, what’s the big idea?” Taylor asked while rubbing her eyes. “Who are you speaking to like that?” Taylor stopped realizing it was Mr. Robert. “Can’t you flash that light in a more appropriate spot rather than my eyes.” Taylor said beginning to regain her sight.

Mr. Robert snarled and said, “I think you need an attitude adjustment.” Taylor looked at Mr. Robert and said, “well, I have to get to my therapy appointment. So if you will excuse me.” Mr. Robert was not hearing her and moved in front of Taylor so she could not pass. Mrs. Patter walked up and said, “Mr. Robert, Taylor has to get to her therapy appointment. I am sure you know how Dr. Trey does not like anyone being late to their appointments. I’m sure Dr. Trey would not be happy if you caused Taylor to be late.” Taylor took that moment to walk quickly to the elevator and push the button to go upstairs. Taylor stepped off the elevator and walked to Dr. Trey’s office. She took a deep breathe and knocked on the door. She walked inside when she heard Dr. Trey tell her to come in. She did not even want to speak to him, let alone see him. “He’s such a little twerp Taylor.” Blue said with a giggle. Taylor smiled and had to stop herself from laughing out loud. “Why are you full of smiles this morning Taylor?” Dr. Trey asked and Taylor’s smile left her face. “Just ready to get therapy done so I can go have some of the leftover breakfast I made.” Taylor said trying to not vomit on him.

“It would serve him right if you did throw up on him.” Blue said and even though she tried, Taylor was not successful on keeping her laugh to herself. Dr. Trey started to become irritated and said, “let’s get started shall we.” Taylor nodded and they began the therapy session. “Dr. Trey, when will I be able to see my parents and Margaret again? It’s been awhile now. You know I am of sound mind and not even crazy.” Taylor said to Dr. Trey as she stood up from the couch. Dr. Trey pushed her back down on the couch and got extremely close to her. “How do you I know you really want to see your family and friend, when you can’t even be nice to me.” Dr. Trey said and Taylor managed to squirm away from him. She said, “well, you try to claim I am not of sound mind and not crazy, especially when you try to get in my pants. I’m not interested in you, I have a mate.” Taylor flinched back when Dr. Trey moved in front of her again. “Watch your mouth, if I wanted you to be mine, I would make it so.” Dr. Trey said as he ran a finger down her face and neck.

Patty walked into the office and said, “apologies Dr. Trey, Taylor’s parents are here demanding to see her and are not taking no for an answer.” Dr. Trey became even more irritated and left the room. Patty turned to Taylor and said, “run to your room and lock it. Get everything together of yours and Chloe’s. Don’t speak, don’t ask, just do. I will be there soon.” Taylor nodded and ran to her room as quickly as she could. Taylor locked the door and began getting her few items packed and Chloe’s things as well. She had an empty carrying bag to carry Chloe in and put Chloe in it. Taylor then grabbed her new phone and her old phone as well. She put them in her leather jacket and made sure the pocket was closed. She did not want anyone to find her phones if they dropped out. Taylor then began pacing the floor, anxious on when Patty would show up.

Patty turned and looked at Dr. Trey as he walked back in. “They are awfully persistent. Did you send Taylor back to her room?” Dr. Trey asked Patty. “Yes, I sent her back to her room just a few minutes ago.” Dr. Trey nodded and said, “well, Patty my dear, you know what you need to do then.” Patty cringed internally and nodded at Dr. Trey. She walked over and sat on his lap, and began giving him what he wanted. Patty watched him and soon is eyes popped open and his body went limp. “You piece of sh*t. You’ll never have her here again or touch me.” Patty said and then quickly made her way to Taylor’s room. Taylor got off the elevator and saw Mrs. Patter waiting by Taylor’s door. Zag was gone to the spot to wait for them to get there. Patty ran up to Taylor’s door and knocked. “Taylor, it’s Patty.” Taylor quickly opened the door and let Mrs. Patter and Patty come inside her room. “We have to get you out of here, now.” Patty said with urgency.

Collin and Sarah got into the vehicle and slammed the doors. “What a piece of sh*t. We need to head to the spot quickly.” Sarah said looking at Margaret. Margaret nodded and said, “she will be with us soon. Let’s go wait for her.” Margaret left and turned towards the spot Patty told them about. “I hope Patty gave him enough to end him.” Margaret said with anger in her voice. Sarah gently put her hand on Margaret’s arm and said, “it is okay. He will get his sooner or later.” Margaret nodded and turned where Patty said the spot was. “Now we wait.” Collin said as he saw Scott pull in next to them. Collin got out of his SUV and walked over to the other SUV. “Why can’t we just burn the building down?” Margaret asked wanting to do some damage to something or someone. “let’s just focus on Taylor dear. We do not need to lower ourselves to his level.” Sarah said with a motherly tone.

Patty and Mrs. Patter led Taylor to the door that Zag would be waiting. “Come dear, let’s try to hurry.” Mrs. Patter said with urgency in her voice. “Once we get outside, we need to avoid the cameras and then run to the woods and keep running.” Patty said to Mrs. Patter and Taylor. Taylor nodded and Patty took the bag with Chloe in it. “Are we ready?” Patty asked as she opened the door and Zag stood waiting. Taylor smiled and said, “let’s get out of here quickly. I need as far away from this place as possible.” They all agreed and they snuck out avoiding any cameras or guards. They made it through the locked gate and they all took off running for the woods. “We need to keep running. We will stop when we see a car and SUV.” Patty said as they all ran away from the facility. Mrs. Patter was a bit winded from the run and her age. They all stopped and Zag put Mrs. Patter on his back. He turned and said, “okay, let’s get going. We are probably another 15 minutes from the vehicles.” They continued to run and did not stop until finally they saw the vehicles waiting. Collin and Scott got out and helped them to both SUVs. “No time to explain anything until we get to where we are going.” Collin said as Taylor saw Margaret was driving. “They aren’t going to be able to catch us with Margaret driving.” Taylor said and Margaret laughed as she quickly backed out and they started driving to the airport where Collin’s jet was waiting.
