By the time she stepped outside, Theo was already getting into his car.

"Alpha," she called.

He paused.

"The only thing I want to hear from you," he said flatly, "is that Dorian is dead."

She swallowed. "She’s not. But we’ve confirmed something."

Theo exhaled sharply. "What?"

"She’s been seen at a club. A popular one."

A slow smirk curved his lips.

"A club, huh?"

Evangelia nodded. "We’ve already spoken to the owner. When the time comes, he won’t stand in our way."

Theo slid into the back seat, his smirk widening.

"Then let’s pay her a visit."

Did Dorian have any idea who was coming for her?

CHAPTER 001
CHAPTER 001 The music pulsed through the club, heavy and intoxicating. The darkened room glowed with neon lights, which created shifting shadows across the excited audience. Kyra's crimson eyes glowed through her mask when she entered the stage while the cold metal pole provided her stability. The audience noise became a deafening wave while men crowded near her as they stared at every movement she made. Her deep red lipstick parted slightly while she arched her back to slide her hands down the pole. The glass stage became her dance floor as she descended onto it wearing a short lace skirt that revealed her muscular legs. The cheers grew louder. "That’s right, love, keep going!" "She’s a damn goddess!" She ascended the pole with grace while extending her leg to its peak before descending in a smooth motion. This was routine. This was a meticulously honed performance. To them, she was a fantasy. She viewed it as an ordinary evening. Leonidas maintained his characteristic smirk at the club entrance as she exited the stage. He held the cigarette between his fingers whilesaying,g "Tonight was something else." The wealthy gamblers paid above their normal amounts. Kyra didn’t acknowledge him. Finished with the night, she took her bag and left. Leonidas laughed as he placed a substantial envelope into her hand. He whispered, "A complete red moon tonight," before moving away from her. Kyra said nothing. She hid the envelope in her pocket before leaving through the back door into the darkness. The fresh night breeze touched her body while she walked toward her bicycle. She donned her helmet and secured her hands on the handles before speeding away while the engine noise overpowered the club's fading sounds. This was her life. Larnaca's population desired her above all other dancers. Every man wantedher,r but she remained forever out of reach. But that wasn’t all she was. She was a werewolf. She existed as a solitary female wolf who lacked pack connections. All wolves except her had pack companions. The wolves existed in packs where blood ties and loyalty formed their bonds. Kyra had abandoned her past existence. She had attempted to leave her past behind. As she raced through the streets, the wind pressed against her body and her thoughts weighed heavily on her mind. She didn’t belong here. She didn’t belong anywhere. Then— The collision was violent. The vehicle hit her rear tire, which caused her to slide uncontrollably toward the front. Kyra barely kept control of the vehicle before pulling over to the side of the road. Her heart pounded as she ripped off her helmet. A shiny black vehicle stopped behind her. The two men emerged from the vehicle with faces that revealed nothing. She clenched her jaw. She glared at him with her crimson eyes anddemanded,d "What the hell do you think you’re doing?" Her crimson eyes narrowed as she spoke with anger. One of them scoffed. The man ordered her to move her "junk" vehicle from the road. Kyra’s blood boiled. The men who hit her bike continued to act as if she blocked their way. She took a deep breath to maintain her composure. She advised him to leave before it became too late. "Before you regret it." The second man smirked. "Or what? Are you going to call the cops?" Kyra smirked right back. "I don’t need the cops." She turned to leave. Her time was not worth it. A strong hand seized her wrist before she could touch her bike. "Not so fast, sweetheart." Her body tensed. Big mistake. She turned instantly and hit him square in the face with her fist. The impact from the force threw him backward until he hit the concrete pavement. His eyes opened wide with astonishment. "You—" Kyra moved before the man could respond. She delivered the blow with such speed that human eyes could not track it as she hit him with her elbow to his stomach. She wasn't finished yet as he struggled to breathe while doubled over. She seized his hair to pull his head down before delivering a knee strike to his face. He dropped. Unconscious. The first man made a pained sound as he attempted to move away. Kyra glared athim,m and he instantly stopped moving. Her breathing remainedcalm,m yet her body continued to experience the rush of adrenaline. She delivered her warning with icy detachment beforeadding,g "Choose battles you can actually win." She put on her helmet and then rode away into the darkness. She needed to get home. Now. Kyra entered her apartment building while her hands trembled as she forced the key into the lock. She entered the building after the door unlocked and released the breath she had been holding withoutnoticing. She entered thebuilding,g and her phone immediately began toring. She ignoredit. She dropped her bag on the couch before collapsing face-down onto the cushions. The phone buzzed continuously against the wooden table surface. The caller refused to stop trying to reachthem. She pulled out her phone while letting out an annoyed noise before checking thedisplay. She already knew who itwas. She took a deep breath beforeresponding. "Good evening,Mo—" KyraYouu need to answer me right now. The person on the other line spoke with a harsh tone that felticy. Kyra tightened her jaw muscles while preparing herself for theconversation. The woman spoke with contempt when sheasked,d "Are you still living in the human world?" You choose to exist among them. Those disgusting, weak creatures? Does it not disgust you to share the same atmosphere with thosecreatures? Kyra stayedsilent. Her mother spoke with a harsh tone when shesaid,d "You are royalty." Your failure status does not erase your family membership. Yourperfect,t shining brother will always remain different from you. He understands the importance of working diligently. He understands hisplace." Kyra held the phone so tightly that her fingers lost their strength. Indeed, you are the outlier. Your royal status does not grant you permission to flee. Your presence marks our family with disgrace, Kyra, and—" The line went dead. She had hung up. The device fell from her grasp to hit the floor with a soft impact. The screen developed a c***k within a brief period. She didn’t care. She fought to keep her tears at bay while her eyes became moist. This was why she left. This was why she ran. Despite her distance from home, they continued to remind her about her true identity and her lack of it. She folded her body into a ball while resting her forehead on the couch fabric. The apartment's complete silence enveloped her completely. The words her mother had spoken earlier returned to haunt her mind while they destroyed the weak emotional barrier she had constructed. She believed departure would make them forget about her existence. She believed leaving would result in her being forgotten by everyone. She had been so, so wrong. A trembling breath left her body. She needed to show more strength than she currently possessed. She dried her face before standing up from the couch. She struggled to climb the staircase because her legs weighed down her body. She needed rest. She needed sleep. When she finally reached her bedroom, her body felt completely weighted down. She rushed through a hot shower and then put on her pajamas before returning to bed. Exhaustion immediately claimed her consciousness when she lay down to sleep. But even in sleep, she knew— History never fully departed from our present. *** The only sound in the room came from the deliberate tapping of Theo's fingers on his chair armrest. His crossed legs formed a barrier as he stared at the shaking man in front of him with an expressionless face and cold eyes. The mixture of ocean scent and blood odor filled the air. Theo spoke again with a quiet voice before asking his final question. His lips released smoke while he exhaled, and his cigarette end glowed under the dim lighting. The man—Andreas—was shaking violently. Theo understood why the man was trembling. The man found himself suspended above a pool where numerous teeth waited to bite him. "Where is Dorian?" Theo's voice was calm and cold. "I—I don’t know!" Andreas stammered. "I swear on my life! I’ve never even seen him! I just work for her! Her three front women are the only ones who ever interact with her. Theo watched him for a brief instant before letting out a deep breath. "Useless." A single shot rang out. The rope snapped. Andreas screamed with fear as he plunged into the water. The impact of the water created a thunderous noise, which paled in comparison to the sickening sound of breaking bones. The sharks wasted no time. Theo rose to his feet while wiping a tiny piece of ash from his arm. "Another dead end," he muttered. The water below turned red. He walked directly to his car without looking back at the scene. His bodyguards formed a protective line to escort him when he moved forward. The driver silently opened the Aegean Phantom's door for Theo, who then settled into the seat with his head resting against it. He took a deep breath from the cigarette before releasing a long sigh. His voice barely audible, he said, "Dorian." Where the hell was she? His previous misjudgment of her abilities had cost him dearly. He vowed to himself that he would never repeat that error. She believed she had found a way to leave him behind. She was wrong. The vehicle started up with a quiet hum while it moved effortlessly through the urban landscape. The night outside became a canvas of red and blue streaks as neon lights moved past. He lost himself in thoughts while observing the moving landscape. Betrayal stood as his most despised thing in life. Dorian's betrayal shocked him because he never thought a snake would show any form of loyalty. She proved herself as dangerous as every other person in his life. He had extended his trust to her despite everything. And she had spat in his face. He gripped the cigarette between his thumb and forefinger before squeezing it until it crumbled into pieces. The burning embers scorched his flesh, yet he remained unfeeling. She was going to pay. He would destroy everything she had to make her suffer. The vehicle reduced its speed when it reached the mansion gates. The automatic gates revealed the grand entrance as they arrived at the mansion within a few seconds. Without speaking, Theo exited the car, and his boots made loud clicks against the marble staircase before entering the building. The Alpha found his Beta waiting at the entrance. The receptionist greeted him with "Alpha Theo, welcome back" using a formal voice. His eyes moved away from her without any acknowledgment. "The woman?" he asked. "Dismissed, as you ordered." "Good." The company did not interest him at that moment. Evangeline worked as his loyal right hand for multiple years while serving as his most trusted confidant. Throughout her years of service, she had never witnessed him display a smile. And she never would. Theo marched directly to his study without stopping. Tomorrow, he would have answers. He would find Dorian. And when he did— She would not escape from him this time. *** The Next Day The hidden room atmosphere felt heavy enough to choke anyone present. Each step Theo took moved with an invisible burden. His white hair lay perfectly smooth against his head as his unyielding facial features remained impossible to read. His face showed no emotion as he looked at the twelve men who sat before him with an icy stare. His lips remained in a tight line. Evangeline stood at his side while holding a pillow. On top of it—a pistol. Theo took it without hesitation. He lifted the weapon with exact precision before firing the shot. A single shot. The body of one man collapsed forward as blood spread beneath his chair. "Alpha," Evangeline whispered. He ignored her. The room fell quiet until fresh gunshots interrupted the moment. One by one, the men fell. Theo placed the pistol on the ground after the final body fell without showing any emotion. He issued his command before walking away from the scene. Evangeline took only a brief pause before giving her consent. She watched the guards remove the bodies while they worked to clean up the mess. So much blood. Was he even human? When Evangeline walked outside, Theo had already entered his vehicle. "Alpha," she called. He paused. He stated in a cold tone that he only wanted to hear confirmation about Dorian's death. She swallowed. "She’s not. But we’ve confirmed something." Theo exhaled sharply. "What?" "She’s been seen at a club. A popular one." A slow smirk curved his lips. "A club, huh?" Evangeline nodded. The owner of the club has already received our visit. The owner of the club will not interfere when the time arrives. Theo settled into the back seat while his grin expanded. "Then let’s pay her a visit." Did Dorian have any clue about the people who planned to visit her?
