“People either want to do one of the three things, which are that they want to be you, kiss you, and even hate you, but only you can be you.” -Keely James August 04 “Dad.” Kylie says grinning at her father and hugging him. “Oh, hey sweetie.” He smiles. They both walk inside the house. “I’m sorry about Keely.” He tells his daughter while they both are making their way inside their kitchen.  “It’s fine dad, the search party is still going to continue on.” Kylie informs him while taking a seat at the kitchen island. Her father opens the walk-in pantry and then grabs a small bag of potato chips. “Well good, and I’m not needed to go back to London till six months, so for the time being you have my attention.” Kylie’s father informs her while giving her another smile and then walking out back to where Kylie’s mom is. Kylie lets out a sigh and then gets up and opens up the refrigerator. After she grabs a yogurt and a spoon from the silverware drawer, she makes her way up the stairs and inside her bedroom. Once she closes her door, she sits down in her butterfly chair and then turns on her television and changes the input settings to the cable part. She turns to the news to see if there is anything new with Keely’s case. “They would contact me if there was something new right?” Kylie asks herself whilst opening up the cherry yogurt.  She lets out a sigh and then changes to her smart tv and then clicks on the Netflix icon and starts watching her favorite show The Office.    ❂||❂||❂ Later that day, Kylie lets out a sigh and then turns her car engine off and puts on her work baseball cap and then gets out of her car while grabbing her purse from the passenger seat.  “Time to go to work.” Kylie sighs while getting out of the car. The place is a popular cookie joint. And to be honest, she didn’t think that it would get so many customers. Great American Cookies. But it did, not that Kylie is complaining, it means more hours and not just more money, but it makes her busy to worry about this whole Keely ordeal.  “Ah, hello Kylie, the new schedule is posted, don’t worry it won’t interfere with your school when you start next week.” Kylie’s manager, Alessia tells Kylie once she started to make her way inside the store. Kylie gives her manager a smile once she walks in through the door that leads to the back where the employees are. “Thank you Alessia.” Kylie tells her while giving her boss one more smile and then walks up to the computer up front and clocks herself in.  “So, I know that you want your space about your friend, so I made a list of things to do when you close tonight.” Her manager tells her while punching in orders.“Oh, well it’s rather horrible, I hope that they find her.” Rachel tells Kylie while icing some already baked cookie cakes. “I hope so too.” Kylie says with an annoyed sigh. Also, in hopes that her coworker can leave her alone about Keely.  “Well, let me know if you heard anything.” Rachel tells Kylie while giving her a quick empathetic look and then goes back to working.  “Will do.” Kylie says with a frown. Just one day, without talking about Keely.  “Hey Rach, can you come help me?” Kylie’s manager asks Rachel. “Yea, sure Alessia.” Rachel says and then walks away from Kylie’s workstation. After Rachel leaves, Kylie then focuses back on her work. “Keely would have a field day in this place.” Kylie says with a sigh. As she rubs her forehead with the back of her hand, she then has a small flashback about Keely.  “Oh my gosh, Kylie, these cookies are like, the best ever.” Keely groans while eating a chocolate chip M&M cookie. Kylie chuckles at her best friend then eats a normal chocolate chip cookie. “We should work here, a month before senior year begins.” Keely says while devouring the yummy cookie. “Alright, let’s come in tomorrow and fill out an application, or since you’re sleeping over tonight let’s fill out one” Keely then explains cheerfully with her mouth full and some crumbs falling out of her mouth. Kylie just laughs at this and then Keely starts her car engine. “I thought you want to work at Magic Kingdom in Disney World.” Kylie tells her while putting her seatbelt. “Well I want to work there too, but this job, at the cookie place, I can make money and save it for when I work at Disney World.” Keely explains while putting on her seatbelt as well and then starting to drive. “Keels, please come home.” Kylie says with a frown and glassy eyes.  Then continues on doing her work.
