Her Bestfriend's Case

❂Chapter 9❂

 “I swear Kylie, we will be best friends forever.” – Keely James

August 20

Kylie is waiting in the Chick fil a line and she leans her head against the window.

“It’s been six days, and still no word about Keely and Hunter still hasn’t made contact with me.” Kylie says to herself.

 He’s making himself look guilty to the cops, but part of Kylie thinks that he didn’t do anything to Keely.

Then Kylie moves up in the line and takes her drink and puts it in the cup holder and then grabs the bag from the worker and drives out of the drive thru.

 As Kylie was eating her fries while driving, her phone goes off and then Kylie sees that it’s her mom texting her that her and her father are going out.

When Kylie gets home, she gets out of her car and grips on the bag with one hand and then holds the Styrofoam Chick fil a cup in the other.

Once she gets inside, she sits down at the kitchen island and then starts to eat her 12-piece nuggets.

 She then goes on her phone on the Netflix app and continues watching Pretty Little Liars.

August 22

Kylie was making M&M cookies at her work when she heard the bell go off from the front door.

“Hey, what can I do for you today?” Kylie hears her manager ask.

“Yes, is there a Kylie Jacobson here?” Kylie hears a detective ask.

She recognizes that voice too.

 “Yeah sure, I can go get her.” Kylie’s manager tells them.

Kylie lets out a sigh and then stops what she was doing and grips the counter with both of her hands.

“Kylie, two detectives are here, and they want you.” Alessia, Kylie’s manager tells the brunette-haired beauty.

Kylie just nods her head and then takes off her apron and then follows her manager out towards the counter.

“Good to see you again.” The first detective says to her while giving her a smile.

Kylie gives him a smile and then walks around the counter and then they all three shake hands and sit down at a table in the shop.

“So, there are two major things that we found today.” Detective #1 tells her while crossing his left leg over his right.

“Okay, what are they?” Kylie asks them while folding her arms over her chest.

“Well, do you want the bad news or good news first?” Detective #2 asks her while folding his hands-on top of the table.

Kylie looks down for a moment and bites her lips.

“I want the good news first.” Kylie tells them while looking at the both of them.

Both detectives look at each other and then back at Kylie.

“Well, we found a white garbage bag about 8 miles from Keely’s car, and in the bag, there were Keely’s clothes, the same exact clothes that she was wearing in that surveillance video.” Detective #2 explains while getting out his notepad.

Kylie was a little taken back.

“So, she’s just in her undergarments?” She asks them.

There is no way that she’s going to awkwardly say bra and underwear in front of two detectives.

Two not so bad looking detectives.

“Well, that’s the thing, those two items were in the bag as well.” Detective #1 explains.

Kylie lets out a gasp and puts her hand over her mouth.

“It’s good news, because we are getting DNA samples from the bag and Keely’s clothing.” That same detective tells her while giving the other guy a pen.

Kylie nods and then keeps her arms folded over her chest.

“And, what is the bad news?” Kylie asks them.

 The two detectives were a little quiet for a few moments.

“We found Hunter this morning before we found the bag, he was murdered a few blocks down from the gas station that Keely was taken from.” Detective #1 tells her with a serious look.

 And all Kylie can think is what in the actual f**k is going on here?
