Being pinned to the ceiling of a capsule wasn’t a pleasant experience. As she let herself slide back to the floor, Jo made a mental note to never try this again.
Tadgh rushed in and scrambled over to her.
“I’m all right,” she grumbled and sat up. At the same time, she switched her eudqi on to expedite the healing process. Self-healing was one perk of being a Eudaizian commander. As long as they were alive, the eudqi could heal any wounds inflicted on their body.
“What happened?”
Jo glanced at the control panel, which was now fried and black as charcoal. Ciaran wouldn’t be pleased to hear she had just blown up his private capsule.
“I tried to retrieve the talisman. I thought I could decode Ciaran’s lock.”
Tadgh dropped to the floor. “Jo! Ciaran said not to touch the
