Twenty Years Ago: The ocean was dark, all that he could see was the faint glow from his hair. It was the only light he ever saw down here in the depths. That and the light from other ocean crawlers that lived in the deepest parts of the ocean. Nothing came close to the brightness of a female mermaid’s hair, their hair was almost twice the length of any male's. He loved watching them swim, their long locks glowing as they endlessly trailed behind them, leaving a glow unmatched by anything he had yet to see down here in the depths.
