The Shape Shifters Chronicles (on hold)

I was always told I was gonna rule when I got older. But never thought it through though. My parents always told me stories of the queens and kings of the realm, that they were the best. No matter what kind of species/animals they were. To be honest, were all rulers in our own way. But we always need a top Alpha/king and top Luna/queen, to keep us all in check. Back in the day, we were all in our own little world of our own kind. Keeping to our self's. Keeping with our own kind, no cross breeding or nothing. But over time, there would be a type of animal that would fall out of line and fall for another type of animal. And me I so happened to be that one. And this is how I met my maker. My soulmate. My king. My mate. Hi, I'm Xena and I am a cheetah warrior woman. I was meant for speed. I was good at what I do. In or out of forms. Yes, all cheetahs are fast, but its also how you were trained and I was trained at a young age. Both my parents were cheetahs and they were the best of our tribe. They ruled the land we walked on. We out ran anything to get away from whatever was coming our way. And fought our hardest, our mightiest. When I was a little girl, I would play around in the training yard, watching the warriors train and fight each other. I was caught in the training yard by one of our guards, from time to time. But the last time, my parents had enough of it. So they put me in there to train. I learned fast and kept up with everyone else. Some were surprised at how I was doing so well. My parents were impressed and from that moment they knew I was gonna be the top warrior princess. At the age of 10, in human form, I had ran the tracks to reach my top speed. At the age of 13, both human and cheetah form, I worked on my strength. By the time I was 16 years old, I was the top of my class or kind to get to where I needed to be at a young age. And by the time I was 18, I had finished all my classes of training and my schooling. Once I was all of beyond the all, I had joined the elite team of my kind. We fought war after war off all kinds that were trespassing or doing bad things. Out on one of my missions, I had came across a pack of hunters that were setting traps for killer beast like myself but I wasn't just any kind of killer beast. I was royal to my kind and everyone around me. They knew who I was and didn't want to mess with me but some have tried. But out in his mission, I had ran across the most beauty that I have ever see and he was stuck in a trap. His leg was caught. When I walked over to him slowly in my cat form, he was shocked to have seen me and tried to get out from the trap. Not until I had shifted into my human form did this beauty had stopped. This beauty was a tiger. Golden-brown, huge as it can be. I've never in my life saw a tiger big like this. So when I got to him, I slowly showed the tiger j was no harm to him and that I was here to save its life. I was in middle of trying to get it open when I heard noses behind me and the tiger growled together my attention. When I looked, a hunter went to hit me, but I had dodged him so fast that in mid speed I had shifted into my cat form and attacked those who were near by. Once I saw they were all dead, I had went back to the tiger. But when I got back, it wasn't a tiger anymore it was a man. And lord he was a hunk of sexiness. When I shifted into my human form, I had helped him out. "Your a shifter like me." I had said when I got to him. "Yes, I am. I'm the prince of my kind. Well was until the hunters had came and killed of my tribe." He told me. "I'm the princess of my kind, soon to be queen." I told him as I finally got he trap opened. "Thank you, so much for saving my life." He said then looked up at me. "I'm Hercules, prince of the tiger kingdom. Well what's left of it here." "I'm Xena, princess of the cheetah kingdom." I told him. "Let me take you back to my tribe and get you all fixed up. Its gonna take awhile for you to heal after what that trap had done." He had nodded and I put his arm over my shoulders until we got close to a point where I can call for my guards. "Why were you out here?" He asked me. "A mission. I have a camp set up at one of our points just ahead." I had pointed ahead of us. "What kind of mission?" "Hunter ones, they've been killing off some of the animals from the kingdom." "Like my kind?" He had somewhat questioned but more of a statement. "I afraid so, my prince." When we got close to the camp, I had meowed to tell my guards it was me. When I came view the guards all stood up and saw that I was carrying a hurt man. "My princess, what is this?" Kolkata had asked. He was one of the best warrior guards. "Kolkata, he was hurt. He was in a hunters trap." I had said as I sat him down on one of the beds. "Hunters trap?" One of the other warrior had said. "What was you doing out there. Thought you were asleep, princess." Another warrior guard had asked. "I was out looking for food. I was hungry. And I can do what I am pleased to do, Kobe." I had told him. "Plus he's a tiger prince. The last of his kind. The hunters killed his tribe off. He was luckily got away. Now, Jozef help this man. Your the medical aid here." "Yes, my princess." Jozef said bowing his head. "And when your done with him, put him in my tent I'll sleep out here in my cat form. I need to be alert." Jozef nodded and took care of Hercules while I was walking around the area of the camp. Kolkata had joined me, to keep me company while I was walking around. Kolkata was a dear good friend and warrior. He was 2nd best in our class. And when we fought each other well it was a tied. Neither of us were brought down, we both put up a good fight that when we fought, we wasn't tired, we could go for hours, but we were timed. We both did pretty good damages to each other and well that's what counts. At first my parents thought we would end together since we were both good at what we do but we're to much for that. We're just too much into our job and best friends to actually become lovers or mates. They say the moon goddess gives each a person someone to love and well he wasn't the one. To me I don't think I would have ever found the one until tonight in the woods. When I first saw Hercules in his tiger form, well I just felt a strong connection to him. Like I had to save him, I couldn't let him die. But I'm just gonna leave it be and see where it goes from there. The moon goddess is the one to trust and if she says I'm mated to a tiger well hell you don't fight it, you embrace it. Love it, cherish the moment before the moment is gone. And well this isn't the time to do it either but I'll have my time with the prince, because he's coming home with me to meet my parents on what had happened. Plus, he's too hurt to be out here alone. Expressly, with the hunters around. Here's the first chapter of the "Shape Shifter's Chronicles". This was a little back story of how Xena became what she is known for and how she had met her mate.
