CHAPTER 8
The next day, Tilly and Macy hurried to the school to help with the decorations. They made sure to leave in time to make it to their hair appointment. After being pampered with hair, nails, and makeup, they headed to Tilly’s house to finish getting ready.
They raided Laura’s jewelry box for earrings and Laura gave Tilly the shoes to match her dress. The girls were so excited they could not be still.
Mary made them both take a few minutes and eat a sandwich and drink a glass of tea. She told them they could not dance all night on empty. Although snacks and punch were being served, when the students started dancing, they sometimes ignored them.
The time finally arrived. Both girls were ready and showed their dresses to Mary and Gary. Even Mac agreed they looked fantastic.
