Prologue
“One mysterious bite can cause a never ending circle of life yet with one taste of blood can make a monster fall in love that it cannot run away from.”
As the night unfolds the moon, a call was being answered by an off duty 24 years old lady police officer named Vanessa Santos. Her superior informed her about the promotion and she’ll be transferred to the DIP headquarters since she’s very promising to her line of work. As the call ended, her happiness couldn’t be contained and called the only person who was very special to her.
“Arian! Guess what?” Vanessa called the most important person in her life.
‘What?’
“I’m promoted and will be transferred to the elite force of DIP. can’t you believe it, finally my hard work was being paid. I hope I got along with everyone there.” She answered as she lay down on her comfy bed trying to relax her excited heart beating inside her chest.
‘Oh...g-good l-luck then. Yeah, have the best of luck.’
“So...wanna have some early celebration...just you and me?” She asked cautiously since she doesn’t want to ruin what they already started.
‘Well, I am not sure…’
“Please, Arian. Let’s take it as our 8th date.” She pleaded as she pouted though the lady on the other line couldn’t see her facial reaction.
‘Why didn’t you say so. I’ll be in the coffee shop at ten.’
“YES! I love you, Arian.” She said in her joyous voice since she was really in love with the person she’s talking to.
‘I love you too, Nes.’
But on her way, things didn’t always go as planned. Vanessa might be excited about meeting her date but it didn’t stop her from following the law on the road. She was a good driver but the other driver wasn’t since it suddenly crashed into her when her car was about to cross the intersection. She was on the right way since her line was green but the van that hit her was over speeding and drunk. As both cars stumbled in the middle of the road which caused traffic, Vanessa was still conscious but barely. She got out of her car and checked the other driver but was unconscious. She called an ambulance and called her partner about the car crash but Vanessa’s sight was getting all blurry which made her lean on the static lamppost.
“Dammit...Arian...I have to call her…” Vanessa stuttered as she tried to make a call but everything about her was shutting down which made her sit down on the concrete.
Her sight may be getting blurry and wanting to close when a figure of a lady suddenly appeared before her eyes.
“...Lo...ve...Ar…” Vanessa mumbled until she felt some tears touch her cheeks then a piercing pain shocked her neck before darkness consumed her.
