Chapter 3: Unknown

1071 Words
Finally, I had reached the end, I crawled out of that place and realized that the place I was into was actually an underground place.  But still, there’s a lot of things that I was in question of. What this place actually is… I remember that the previous man that saved my life called this place the tower. But it just doesn't look like a tower at all.  There’s a clear sky and a sun, a tower shouldn’t be looking like this at all.  That doesn’t matter as what was the most important thing was to find someone else that could help me. As I was basically in a forest area right now. Like the previous place, this area might have monsters lurking around as well.  I then take a look at my body once again, it still makes me wonder till now. How did I be able to recover that quickly? While I was looking at my body, I noticed there’s some mark on my left chest.  Upon looking at it closely, it was actually not some random mark but a number.  -87601 Does this number mean something? Is this something that I always had on my chest… I thought it was a tattoo but when I look at it a few more times. The number that was on my chest isn’t a tattoo at all.  There’s no need for me to think about this way much, I would never be able to solve this by myself. I need someone that could tell me what exactly happened to me and this place, that was the only way for me to learn about this whole thing.  But first, l needed to find a person. Without knowing where I should go, I wander aimlessly in the forest. Hoping that I will get out of the forest and be able to meet someone along the way.  … …. ….. Few hours had passed and yet I wasn’t able to exit the forest. I feel like the forest was just too massive for me to explore. The sun was going to go down anytime soon, it’s better for me to find someplace safe enough to camp.  But just remembering about the area that I had explored so far, there’s no safe place at all. Still, I do realize something, along with my exploration. I had not encountered any monsters yet and that somehow made me think that this forest might be safe.  I collect some fallen branches around and lump them all together to the ground. I then tried to make fire and despite all the effort that I put towards it. I wasn’t able to create any fire at all thus I decided to just give up.  It wasted my time by a lot and it’s better for me to create a place where I will be sleeping first. Knowing that there’s no way to make a tent, the best thing I could be just to clean the area near a giant log.  As that would be the place that I will be sleeping at. Leaning towards it was the only way for me to sleep, I know it wouldn’t be comfortable but I don't like to lay my body onto the dirt.  I guess I will be heading to sleep earlier, there’s nothing I could do. Even if I tried to think about something regarding this unknown place, I’m sure that I wouldn't be able to come out with any idea at all.  As I lack information if only I know what happened to or manage to remember my past. I might be able to figure this all out…  The stars do seem a little close, it makes me think of something. Am I really dead? I need more answers as despite what happened, it’s still hard for me to believe that I was already dead.  I closed my eyes as I was getting rather sleepy right now, I guess a lot had happened to me this day and it made me tired.  … …. ….. *Chirp*  *Chirp*  The sound of the birds chirping wakes me up, why do I feel my back hurt so much… Leaning towards the tree was a bad choice. I opened my eyes and it was already morning, no wonder there are birds chirping right now.  Wait! Does this place have birds…  I closely looked around to see where the bird's sound was coming from and followed it. Hoping that it would somehow lead me to a place that had some food resources. As I realized how hungry I am at the moment. It must be because I hadn’t eaten for a day at all.  Even if the bird wouldn’t lead me anywhere, I could kill the bird and eat it. Of course, I needed fire to cook it but I think this time I could light it up. As I had more determination right now.  It’s funny how hunger could change me…  *Chirp!*  I think I was on the right path, the chirping of the bird could be easily heard. That means I was within the area. As I keep following the sound, I realize that there’s a lot of red leaves on the ground as well as reddish color on the trees here. This place does smell a lot different from the previous area I was in.  And then I finally found it, the bird that was making those chirping noises. I immediately hid behind a large tree and peeked at the bird. As I don’t want to scare the bird away if I came straight to it. I need to make sure that I could do this in a stealthy way. If not I would miss my chances to get the bird.  What I saw wasn’t like I had imagined… That’s definitely not a bird at all.  It was a huge monster with dark wings. It looks like a raven but it has four legs which make it different things. Its legs also had sharp claws…  Why do I keep stumbling with a monster?
