That afternoon Day sat once again on the balcony of his house staring vacantly at the valley and not seeing it. Helen had taken the car to the Bazeos Tower where she was hosting some discussion groups. Day was therefore grounded. He would ask Ben if he’d like to come over, but first he wanted to do some thinking.
Andreas had given him the name of Sotiris Artsanos. Surely Andreas intended him to do something with this piece of information, which otherwise the policeman would surely have kept to himself. There were some things only a civilian could do, Day thought, whereas the police had to follow procedures. Besides, to understand Ricky’s death he had to check everything to do with the increasingly intriguing Di Quercia Tower, a place connected with Sotiris Artsanos’s family past.
