CHAPTER 23
Eli stared at the giant plate of food in front of him. “Holy crap.”
Ginger laughed and stole a fry. “Yeah. Jeannie makes a mean burger.” Her own dinner was set down in front of her a second later. “But the grilled cheese is the best.”
They munched away happily, watching the ebb and flow of people around them and chatting about work stuff for a while. She had so many questions she wanted to ask, but she wasn’t going to rush it. Besides, with someone she knew stopping by to say hi every five minutes, it wasn’t exactly private.
“Do you actually know everyone in this town?”
She laughed and shook her head. “Not yet, but I’m working on it.”
