“How’s your new secretary, bro?” Bruno asked on the other line.
“Shut the f**k up, Laurent.”
Humagalpak siya ng tawa sa kabilang linya. I know what he’s up to. Alam kong tatawag lang siya para asarin ako and to ask questions about Shaznia.
“Why? Isn’t she beautiful? The first time I saw her, I—“
I frowned and immediately cut him off. “You saw her?”
“Yes. Ako ang nag-welcome sa kanya rito sa kumpanya mo. She’s applying for secretary and I accompanied her to the HR. ‘Yun nga lang may na-hire ka na raw which is your ex-secretary, Fiona.” He chuckled. “At dahil may nakuha ka na ngang secretary, she suggested kung puwede siyang mag-apply bilang janitress.”
Oh, that’s why she’s familiar to me. Maybe because I’ve already seen here somewhere in this company.
