Jack held Gwen down as he moved to place his lips on hers when someone suddenly kicked him away from her. Gwen scrambled to the side as she covered herself with the pieces of her clothing and she looked up to see the leader staring down at her with a cold expression. “What did I tell you about harassing these ladies? What will you do if she gets rejected on the day of the auction? You better get your s**t together, Jack. Don't force me to do something stupid to you.” He said calmly as he glared at Jack and Jack stood up before dusting the dirt off his shirt. “Yes, boss.” He said coldly before walking out of the room and the leader stared at Gwen again for a while, causing her to shrink into herself more. “Follow me.” He said calmly and she managed to stand up, shame and despair washing over her as she walked behind him with barely anything on. She turned to look at the girl who had tried to attack her earlier to see that she was scowling at her. Gwen quietly followed after the leader and he ushered her into a dimly lit room. She was confused about what he wanted from her and she thought he was going to try to violate her instead. However, he simply took out a dress from the wardrobe and threw it to her, causing her to look up at him in surprise. “Wear that and… stay here instead. You're more valuable than the others and what happened tonight will happen again if you stay with them.” He said and she immediately draped the dress over her body, grateful for the fact that she was covered up again. “Please, you need to let me go… I know you're The Typhoon, the ones my sister took a loan from but I promise I'll pay it back for her. I'll do anything just let me go. She has no one left and I don't know how she'll be coping without me right now…” Gwen pleaded as she got on her knees and the man simply stared down at her with a blank expression. “You don't need to pay anything back. She already paid it back by giving you to us. If I were you, I would worry more about myself than the sister who gave you away. Why do you think we took you and not your sister?” He replied coldly as he turned around to walk away and Gwen felt like she had been kicked harshly in the gut. She couldn't believe him. It made no sense that her sister would try to sell her away to pay off the debts. “I don't believe you. That's impossible! My sister would never-” “Believe what you want. But your sister is the only reason we have you in our custody. I won't let anyone hurt you until you're sold away, don't worry.” He said without turning back to her and walked out of the room as he locked it shut behind him. He couldn't help but feel bad for her. Gwen remained on the ground as she stared at the door in shock. Freya had sold her out for a thousand dollars. She didn't want to believe it but she knew that man was right. Why was she the only one caught and not Freya? She crumbled to the ground as she sobbed in agony, the pain of being betrayed tearing through her heart like a blade. She cried until she could no longer and passed out on the cold ground. *********** Two weeks passed by, and Gwen had given up all hopes of escaping. She had no one to return to anyway. She was wolfless, mateless, betrayed, and left all alone. She had no strength to fight for her life anymore. She stared in front of the mirror at her now lifeless face as she tied her hair into a ponytail. It was the day of the auction and she had been ordered to look good for the event. She wore a transparent red gown with nothing underneath it. A tear rolled down her cheek as she applied the red lipstick on her lips and then took a step back to look at herself. She looked just like a slut. How pretty. The door was pushed open and the leader, whose name was Mark, stepped in with his usual cold expression. However, when he took in her appearance, his expression cracked a bit as he stared at her in awe. “It's time.” He said before turning around to walk away and she walked out with him. She could hear the commotion coming from outside the hall and she walked behind Mark with her head hung low. “...and she's gone! Congratulations to number 222 for acquiring this beauty!” The bidder said from the stage and Gwen fought the urge to throw up at the sound of girls being sold like objects. “Get in here.” She heard Mark say, and she turned to see that he had ordered her to get into a transparent glass. She chuckled bitterly as she stepped into the talk glass and then sat down with her legs by her side. She must be really special for her to be placed into a glass. “Now, for the last but not the least item, I hear she's a diamond in the rough. So pretty, she might tear your heart out! Let's welcome our last beauty!” The bidder yelled and Mark wheeled the glass out with Gwen sitting inside, her head hung low in shame. The whole room went into an uproar as she came into sight, and the bid started before the bidder even gave an amount. “One million dollars!” “Two million!” “Ten million!” “Fifteen million dollars!” An old man yelled and everyone went silent after that. Gwen's heart broke seeing the man who had bid the highest price for her. He was old enough to be her grandfather. “Fifteen million dollars for number 111, going… going…” “One hundred million dollars.” Someone said from the back of the crowd and the whole room immediately went silent. Gwen stared at the one who had called that amount in shock and when he stood up with a mask on his face, she froze.
