~Isabella POV~
I was this close to making my way out of the Estate again, undetected. This time from the water that seemingly looked impenetrable with the Fort Knox level of security, but I had devised a plan that I assumed was a fail-safe. I thought I had accounted for all possibilities except one, being caught by Albert.
As I began to make my move out of my hiding place, I heard, “It's about time you came out here, Mrs. Bernardi.”
I was shocked. I didn’t know when he realized I was on the boat, but all I could imagine was him pressing the panic button and all my plans would go out the window.
I hesitantly responded, “How did you know?”
Albert laughs, “You probably don’t know this, but I was an ex- military Navy SEALs Officer, so you can say stealth missions were my thing.”
