“He did all these things” Vicky's voice sounded through the phone that was pressed against Freya's ear
“He did,” she replied with the same excitement in Vicky's tone.
“Might be your mate, who knows?” Vicky said and Freya rolled her eyes.
“Cut it out. No one will want to be with an omega, not him. I for one don't even like him. I know he is handsome and all but he's too cold and scary” she shrouded.
“He can't be my mate because the moon Goddess wouldn't pair a low rank wolf with an alpha” Freya finished putting her books in her school bag.
“Well. Okay. Our assignment is due tomorrow and we have to present it to the class, I suggest you set aside your fears for our point” Vicky told. Freya is really scared of standing out, she prefers to be behind the scenes.
“I'll try my best, okay. Just for the point”
“I'll be there for you. Good night my dad just walked in” Vicky hung up. Freya laid on her bed, facing the ceiling.
She has been thinking of the occurrence that happened between her and Jason. She knows that he just was there when she was in need of help, like a coincidence but something else is missing. There was this blank that still hasn't been filled.
She finally drifts off to sleep, shrugging off the thought.

Freya sat in her classroom, fidgeting her hands and tapping her legs. She had come very early due to lack of sleep. She was so nervous that she didn't wait for the morning crow before coming to school.
Flashback: Few minutes before school hours begin
Freya came to school as early as 6 am. She wanted to rehearse her lines and cram as much as she can. I. Getting to the school, she met Brittany. A witch who also hates Freya.
“You're early” Brittany said.
“Yeah, I am”
“That's too bad. I'm craving something this morning, be a dear and hand me your lunch money” she said sweetly.
“Why will I give you my lunch money” Freya asked
“I just said I was hungry, are you deaf or something” Brittany expression changed immediately and Freya got scared. She knows not to mess with Brittany because she was a bully and a manipulator. She has the teachers wrapped around her fingers and they do as she says.
“I don't have much, just take this” Freya cut her money giving Brittany part of it.
“What is this? Do I look like a beggar to you” Brittany scoffed
“I want everything” she said
Freya wanted to protest again but as soon as she was about to refuse, she heard a loud slap on her face.
“Give them to me” Brittany said in a low icy tone, then Freya gave her the money
“Hey” she handed the money to her and Brittany smiled.
“That's good of you” she patted Freya's arms before leaving
End of flashback
Freya chided herself not to remember what happened earlier,She doesn't want to disappoint Vicky and ruin the whole presentation.
Vicky walked in with Carl and she sat beside Freya while Carl went to his seat with his friends. Jason hadn't arrived yet and it gave her a bit of relief.
“Are you ready for this?” Vicky asked with a smile and Freya nodded.
“You'll be fine trust me” Vicky said and smiling, in return, Freya formed a small smile but it disappeared when Jason walked in and sat beside Carl at the end of the classroom.
The presentation started and most students performed well even Jason and Carl who were paired together.
Finally it was Freya and Vicky's turn. Freya sucked in a deep breath trying to calm her nerves before standing in front of the classroom. She felt pressure as her eyes were on her. Her eyes scanned the class giving everyone a warm and gentle smile but disappeared when she saw Jason. The calmness disappeared and was now filled with nervousness as sweat dripped down her forehead.
Vicky started the presentation and everyone applauded her however, by Freya's turn, she completely zone out and Frozen on her spot.
Jason never took his eyes off her which caused her to be more nervous. She opened her mouth to speak some words but it barely made a sound.
“We can't hear you” a student said
“Speak up” another said
“Freya, if you're nervous just take a deep breath okay?” Mr Williams says.
Freya opened her mouth again to speak the words that she has been memorising throughout the week but got distracted by Jason.
“Just read the damn book or are you that dumb that you can't read and memorise your project” he said and everyone burst out laughing.
This hurt her deeply and tears filled her eyes. She couldn't bear the shame and ran out of the class, running straight to the garden.
She stayed there and let out her tears. She had faced A Lot of humiliation in the past from him, but this really hurt deeply and she doesn't know why.
It feels as if she was stabbed by someone she dearly cares for.
After a moment she calmed herself and refused to go back to the classroom. Just sat in the school garden and enjoyed the beautiful sight of the flowers and veggies.
She heard footsteps coming her way and turned abruptly to see a male figure - Jason. She averted her face, getting up and dusting off dirt on her school skirt.
“How did..did you know I was here? Have you come to finish what you started?” She asked her head low.
“I followed your scent.” Jason's voice came out cold. He tucked his hands into his pocket and stared down at her.
“It's very peculiar and very hard not to miss,” he continued. Freya was still very confused as to why he's here or saying all these things.
“Why are you here?” She asked confident in her tone
“Haven't you torture me enough? You humiliated me in front of the class and it wasn't enough for you?” She was infuriated.
Jason was taken aback by her sudden outburst but mask it with a smirk.
“I haven't had enough. In Fact, this is just the beginning” he said turning to leave but was stopped
“What did I ever do to you? Why do you hate me so much Jason? I've tried staying clear of your path but you still come back.” She said at the brink of tears.
“That is what I hate. A weak being. I want all of them to suffer and die miserably even if it's my mate” the word struck Freya really hard.
“What do you mean by that? I can and will never be your mate” she said tears still on her cheeks
“I also can never be your mate” he finished before walking out.

Freya and her family were preparing to go to an event hosted by their pack leader Mr k****e, Jason's father. His first son has just found his mate and they wanted to celebrate it by inviting the pack members and some neighbouring packs.
Freya has been having stomach cramps throughout the day but was too scared to ask her step mom to leave her home alone. So she dressed up and followed them.
She made sure to wear very simple boring clothes so she won't attract any mates.
All she ever wanted was to be free and leave on her own. Not to be tied to some mate.
“Hurry up, we're running late” Sam yelled.
“Coming dad” Freya yelled back, adjusting her clothes Infront of her giant mirror.
Her stomach let out a growl and she rubbed her hands on them.
Grabbing her purse, she joined them in the car and soon, they were off the road.
Throughout the ride, her wolf tail kept wagging and felt excited.
This can't be good- she thought

They arrived minutes later to a packed house. People were wining and dining, and music oozed from the loud stereos.
Freya took an empty seats and just observed everyone. She noticed some familiar faces from her school but fortunately for her they didn't notice her. The event began by announcing the Alpha's son and his new mate, everyone cheered and wished them a happy life as couples.
Her wolf had gone full blown as it kept leaping for joy, growling mate inside her. Her eyes scanned the place hoping to find her supposed mate. She also perceived a familiar scent but it was too far off to recognize, her eyes kept scanning the place until It finally landed on Jason k****e who was also boring his eyes into her soul. His eyes weren't normal blue but now gold colour.
He got up from his seat and started walking towards Freya. Freya on the other hand, sat frozen her mind plotting ways of escape.
Jason came closer to her and stood at her front.
“No” Freya said getting up, this attracted a lot of eyes to them.
“What are you doing?” Mr Myers asked
“No, Jason k****e No” she repeated, scared to death.
Jason stood there confused.
“What do you mean no?” Mandy asked
“I, Freya Myers reject you Jason k****e as my mate” everyone gasped, without seconds thought she ran out of the event.
