Freya ran into the forest. She heard her name being called but ignored it as she ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Soon, she got tired and also noticed that she's no longer being chased.
She leaned beside a tall oak tree to catch a breath. Panting and sweats dropping from her forehead to the grass.
She sat down and felt tears trickling down her face, wiping it off, she decided to keep moving so as not to attract rogues or other beastly animals.
The cloud disappeared and was now covered with twinkling light and a full moon
Freya was exhausted from walking and heading to nowhere as she noticed that she'd been walking in circles in the deep forest.
Her belly let out a low growl indicating she is hungry and her throat felt dry. She swallowed severally but it did little as she was still very thirsty. Her eyes felt dizzy and she decided to lie down on the log which she sat on.
The cold night breeze swept through her body sending shivers down her spine. She wrapped herself with her hands to subdue the cold from penetrating into her body but to no avail.
Finally she drifts off to sleep. She woke up to find herself in a room. It was so white that she didn't see anything, not even a stain. She got up and dusted an invisible dirt of her clothes as she stared at the strange room.
“Hello” she said to no one in particular.
“Is anybody here?” She asked but was met with only echoes.
She kept walking around the strange white room and soon she got tired and sat down.
Her mind roamed to the day she first met Jason. And how happy she was with her foster father- Mr Myers before Mandy came in. This brought tears to her eyes and she wiped it with the back of her hand.
“Dear child” A majestic voice spoke. Freya stood up abruptly, shaking in her knees.
“Hello?”
“Freya” the voice sounded gracefully enveloped the room with its majestic voice.
“Who are you? How do you know my name? What is this place?” Freya let out her questions at once as she needed an answer as soon as possible.
“You're safe, Freya. Why did you run from your fate Freya?” The voice asked.
Freya thought for a while whether to answer the voice or to question it, before choosing the former.
“I don't like him. Who are you? Where am I?” She asked again
“I am the moon Goddess” Freya's eyes widened in surprise. She had heard that the moon Goddess visited people but never thought she would visit her.
“Moon Goddess?”
“Why did you run from your fate Freya? I made you for him..” she was cut short by Freya
“You paired me with my bully. The jerk hates me and wants to see the end of me and I'm supposed to be his mate? I don't want a mate” she poured out her heart something she has never told anyone but her diary.
“I see your pain but it is meant to be” the moon Goddess stated
“Can't I have a new mate who will not be a threat to my life?”
“I'm afraid not Freya. The only way to have a new mate is if your current mate dies.”
Her eyes grew further in bewilderment as it wasn't what she expected.
“Now go back to Jason and bear his pups” the voice said and vanished. She opened her mouth to say a word back but closed it as suddenly the place changed to the thick forest she once was.
She was back in the forest however it wasn't dark as it was. The sun was up and she could hear bird chirping.
Still sitting at the log, she brought her legs close to her chest. She kept thinking of what the moon Goddess had said and it left her devastated that she couldn't leave her fate.
A movement at her right side caught her attention. She got up to inspect the place, waving branches of trees off her face untill she finally saw a big black wolf.
The wolf was almost her heights and it eyess show no mercy as it growls loudly at her. She took a step back wanting to escape before things get out of hand. Immediately she had her back turned the beast launched at her sending her to the ground.
It's fangs opened wide to snap at her but something pushed it off her, another big black wolf.
The two wolves got in to a huge fight but the second wolf came out victorious.
Freya still lying on the ground was breathing heavily, she thinks the wolf was coming for her as he walked closer to her. But is stopped at her front and in split seconds, it transformed into a human - Jason. Jason had saved her.
Jason stood tall, staring angrily at her.
“What the hell is wrong with you? Don't you know that you could have seriously hurt her by yourself. How careless can you be” he yelled at her while she got up.
“Why would you run like that? Do you know how worried we were thinking something bad had happened to you. For the past two days, your father hasn't been well because of You, Freya.” He scolded. She stood feeling guilty and stared at her feet.
Wait, did he say two days?
“What do you mean two days?” She asked.
He scoffed at her dumb question.
“You were gone for two days, Freya” he repeated.
“Look I know you and I can't be mates but you shouldn't have kept everyone worried like that”
“How did you find me?”
“That is not the point. How I found you is none of your concern. All you need to do is follow me back home” he said
“Why would you come out here to find me if you don't want us to be mates. Jason I hate you and I will rather die than be your mate” with that she raised a sharp stick which she has been holding since she came to the forest, using it as protection against the rogues. She raised the stick high and embedded it into her stomach.
“Freya!!” Jason called out but it was too late. He rushed to her side and held her before she dropped down. Before blacking out she felt sparks at his touch.
He is my mate- was her last thought before everything went blank.

Two weeks have gone by and Freya hasn't still woken up. After the stunt she pulled in the forest, Jason carried her home. And immediately they consulted some witches to help her with recovery Herbals.
The herbals took time to surge through her body, she convulsed and jerked until it finally stopped.
She opened her eyes and found someone sitting beside her. His head was low and it seemed as if he was lost in thoughts.
Freya rubbed her eyes and got up, sitting up straight.
“You're awake. Thank God” Jason said, coming close to her.
“Jason, what are you doing here?” She said still confused about where she is and why Jason was with her.
“You… that's not a problem. I'm glad you finally awake”
“I heard voices is she….” Mr Myers burst in saying but stopped when his eyes landed on Freya.
“Oh Freya my child. I've missed you.” He walked towards her and hugged her, she hugged him back.
“What happened?” She asked.
“Don't you ever do that again. Ever” Mr Myers said, pulling himself away from her. Jason already left the room for the father and daughter to bond.
“Dad, what happened where am I?” She repeated.
“You….” Before he could finish the witch who was involved with her healing process walked. Worry and concern filled her face.
“We've got a problem” she announced
“What is Sarabine?” Mr Myers asked.
“I was performing a ritual on her when I noticed something very strange in her. She's sort of half blood. I can't explain it but it's a phenomenon I've experienced ever since. Her healing process took weeks instead of months which was very rare. Her blood is…. I can't explain it” Sarabine said in a rush. Freya, still confused as ever, didn't know what to say but just watched the woman.
