When I told Angel who my family was and what we belong to, I know that she was shocked and maybe a little scared. Our reputation really does not say many good things about us, but I will not apologize for who we are. Family is very important to me and I will do everything in my power to protect those that I love and now this extends to Angel as well. No matter her decision if she wants my protection or not, I will still care for her and kill for her. I will never let anyone else hurt her as long as I am alive. Her body shook in my arms and my papa and mama got up and unlocked the door to leave to give me some time to get Angel to agree for us to protect her. She needs to understand that our secrecy is very important because we don’t want people to know who we are because that will create a lot of problems for us. I placed her down on the bed so that I could get up to lock the door, I turned around to look at her as she sat there with her head facing down. I know that she was thinking everything through because her emotions were all over the place right now. I could read her like an open book, and I went to kneel in front of her and I lifted her face up to me. She kept her eyes lowered and would not look at me and I asked her to look at me. She kept biting her lower lip and I pulled her lip from between her teeth and they were so plump and red from her biting them. I rubbed my thumb over her bottom lip, and she closed her eyes and I couldn’t help myself and I leaned forward and kissed her lips.

I apologized to her because I shouldn’t have done that after all that she has been through the last thing she needs right now is me trying to push my feelings on her. She smiled at me and she said that it was okay and that it felt nice to be kissed like that because no one has ever kissed her like that or even cared about her like that before. I asked her why she stayed with Emiliano for so long and why not just leave? She told me that she didn’t have family or friends that could help her. Angel put her head down again and was deep in thought and I could see her cheeks turn red. She has no idea how beautiful she looks right now. She asked why I like her, and I told her she is so beautiful and strong and that she deserves to be treated like a queen! I told her that I wish that I would have met her before Emiliano, and she looked up right away and I can see the surprise on her face. She told me that she had thought of the same thing as well. I told her that I know you have gone through so much Angel and that you really don’t trust anyone right now but if she would ever give me a chance to be a part of her life, and that I would take care of her, and protect her with my life. Angel told me that after everything that she has been through that why would I want someone has broken as her. I put my head down and I told her that I have liked her for so long now and that I had planned to go and take her away from Emiliano today but then she called me. She leaned towards me and hugged me, and she was crying and told me that she has nothing to think about and that she would give me a chance. I was so f*****g happy, and I lifted her up in my arms and she wrapped her legs around my waist. I asked if I could kiss her again and she said yes. I kissed her softly and then deepened the kiss because I didn’t want to scare her or anything. I laid her down on the bed and I laid down on top of her and then I felt her body stiffen under me and I knew right then that I had f****d up. I got off her and she laid there with her eyes closed and she was shaking and crying. I lifted her into my arms and started apologizing to her and she was telling me that she was so sorry and that she is not ready for that kind of intimacy. I told her that I will wait for her if she needs me to and that I would be there for her every step of the way. I will help her with her battles and be her strength when she needs it. I placed her down on her feet and I held her face in my hands and I lightly kissed her lips and I asked her if she trusts me and she said yes and I told her that I would protect her with my life.
