Where my family fall apart
My heart is squeezing me to death as I stand across the street and watch my family getting totally annihilated. I am frozen in terror. Never in my nightmares I thought I am going to witness this.
The black cardigan that I specially designed for my dad is noticeable among the crowd in the Starbucks. All at once, I think if it was a good idea to bunk school today. For one, I won't be witnessing the betrayal your loved ones give. What if I didn't come today? He would've been my best dad I have ever asked for.
My eyes watered as I noticed him lean towards the lady and firmly planted his lips on his. She is barely a lady. She is probably just a couple of years older to me. He give the gaze, the same when he kissed my mom. The one I thought was adorable.
His hand on her waist tightened and the girl leaned on his shoulder to say something. My dad smiled at her and leaned in again and started attacking her neck. No he isn't aware that he is in a driveway where people can see him and I, his own daughter is witnessing the tragic events.
They look like a happy couple except they look like a dad and daughter couple.
Never in my life I thought my dad will cheat on my mom. I didn't even know how long this is happening. How can he pretend nothing is happening? Don't he feel any guilt lying next to my mom?
"She's such a b***h and your dad is a dickhead", Nora says next to me. I feel a new wave of emotions hit me. I was proud of my family and Nora know how happy I was.
Nora managed to coax me out of the streets and walked me all way home. I never stopped crying and tears pretty much stopped about half a mile ago.
Nora stayed close to me, looking worried over me as she lead me to my house.
I held her hand tight when I looked at our close door. The same house I wait all day long to return and now I am dreading to enter it.
"You should do it", she pushed me forwards and nodded her head. I swallowed the lump as I nodded her back. She is right, I have to do it. My mom have to know it that her dear husband is f*****g a teenager behind her back and is lying on her face. She have to know she deserve a better man than that cheating cunt.
"Hey honey. How was your day?", my mom asks as she puts some cupcakes on the table.
My day was eventful, mom. I found Dad is cheating on you and probably has a family out there. Oh and you know where I found him? Starbucks driveway mom, isn't it sweet?
"It was good", I choked.
She stopped her work and turned towards me abruptly scrunching her eyebrows in confusion. I know she can see through me.
"Bella, what happened? Are you alright? Is something wrong?", she fires her question and I can't bear it anymore as I broke down again. It is pretty much heaving at this point but I wanted this sick feeling out of my body.
My mom is freaking out next to me. Running with me to the bathroom and held my hair as I dry heaved into the toilet. Her soothing hand on my back does no consoling to me.
"Bella, please tell me what happened?", she asks tears in her eyes.
I wish I am more confident, more badass to kick my dad in his groin when I saw him kissing another girl.
I take a deep breath and hold her hands just as she sit on the bathroom floor next to me.
"Do you love me, Mom?", I ask trying to drag time to gain some anger to let the truth out.
"Of course, baby. Please tell me you are okay. I am calling Dad", I tightened my grip when she tried getting up. That man she mentioned now isn't my father anymore. He is my sperm donor.
"I saw Dad with a girl". As soon as the words leave my mouth, I swear you could hear a pin drop in the house.
My heart is hammering in my chest while my chest rises and falls faster with how hard I'm breathing; and now that those words are finally out there, my stomach twists that tight I nearly wince.
Mom is completely frozen, she doesn't even look like she's breathing; she's sitting on her knees with her lips parted and wide eyes that are blinking like she can't believe the words that just rang around the room.
"What did you just say?", she shot up and stepped back into living room.
"Mom, listen to me"
"No", her voice dropped to almost a whisper like she's making sure she isn't hearing things.
Next thing I know mom is squeezing her eyes shut with her hands holding her chest firmly. I don't have time to react as I watch her stumble and fall on her back.
"Mom", my voice ring through my ears when I shout and run towards my mother. She passed out and I can barely feel the pulse. My hands are shivering in horror as I ran around the house to fetch her phone and dialed 911.
