The Accused Mate

Betrayed and Banished My heart pounded so heavily, my lips trembling bitterly as tears flow down like a river, I would've reached out to wipe them off, but my hands were tied behind my back, I could hear the crowd whispering from afar, with no sign of pity from anyone. I've been hung out on a pack square for days without food nor the taste of water. I kept calling out, but no one would answer, of course no one could hear me, I barely could separate my lips from each other. Seems it's been sewed against each other. Just then I heard a voice I could barely recognize, for my ears were beaten so badly I thought I could lose them. “I wish we had lasted longer”, Dario whispered. The tears in my eyes became more like a waterfall, I couldn't control them anymore. “Don't cry”, Tasha said as she tried to wipe off the tears, it's going to be alright, “she concluded” It's going to be alright? (I murmured in my mind) I wished I could say them out, but my lips would fall off if I tried to separate them from each other. But the voices kept coming, “I've been accused of stealing the Luna's silver, hung out for three days, without food or water, the Alpha haven't decided what to do to me yet,all I know was, I had zero chances of surviving, and all my best friend could say to me was, “it's going to be alright”? Maybe the God's chose me, maybe it's time I joined my ancestors, it would be better if I die, cause living, or surviving doesn't really matter, I had no one to live for”,I kept assuring myself!. I barely knew my both parents, lost them both while I was still young. just the one person I had who could make life meaningful or worth living , he's standing right next to me, filled with so much disappointment on his face. Maybe I did it, maybe I did not, he's not so sure, he had no choice, he can't save me either, he's just a prince, not the Alpha, his father, (The Alpha) had the final judgement say. Perhaps I might find peace in his hand, for I was one of his favorites, but at this point, he had no choice either, nor could he save me. He must do what pleases the pack, what punishment eleven said, (A thief must be stoned to death) And as they all know, I stole Luna's silver, it was found in my back, so I'm guilty, whatever I say doesn't matter. The question is, how did it get in there if I didn't take it. I had many questions, I just couldn't ask them out, or perhaps, there was no one I could ask. I had little or no clothes, but I was always content with what I had, I kept them clean. I didn't need more, because I had no plans for a beauty contest. The Luna's silver is worth so much that I could change my closet and never repeat a garment for my entire life. But I'm not one for fashion or designs. Tasha was who I could think of, no one would have had access to my bag except her, but she wouldn't do such a thing to me, she was my best friend. Could she? Just then a bell rang,(The emergency alert) they only rang the bell when the Alpha had a decision to make. Maybe it's time for my final judgment. “Silent everyone!!” The Alpha commanded! as we all know, the penalty for stealing is by stoning to death, “he continued.” But there's no way the victim could learn from his or her mistake, so I would say we cast her out of the pack, and she's forbidden never to return to Moonstone,or find a way to see the prince again. That way,.she would learn from her mistakes,and understand the consequences of what she did, I mean if she survived out there, for as we all know, it's quite dangerous out there,but if she's seen anywhere near Moonstone,or near the prince,that day, she would be finally be stoned to death. The crowd murmured, with anger. As the Alpha walked out of them, no one could question his words, but they all felt bad. They would've found more pleasure in stoning me to death. I felt a sharp pain from my shoulder as the guard grabbed my arms to their neck, they lifted me with no pity, they wouldn't even look at me. With my blurry vision, I saw Tasha clinging on Dario's arms as they followed us from behind. At a point she missed her steps and nearly tripped, but she clung tighter, Dario helped pull her up. The look they gave each other, instead of seeing things blurred by tears, I saw a deep intenseness. Something broke inside of me, I couldn't hold it no more than to force my lips open. How could you do this to me? “You want to take away my man before I'm even sent out of the pack”? I pounded! “I'm not your man,” Dario responded. It's over between us, you understood what my father said, “you can't see me again”, he quoted, “I'm not trying to take your man away”! Tasha crumbled! he loves me, you'd have to accept it. Accept it? I've been hung out for three days and you're in love with her? Tears flows down my eyes as I mumble softly, Don't make a scene Lydia, please go. you should be grateful I begged my father that he keep you alive, maybe you didn't deserve it like Tasha said! With pain I threw myself off the guards shoulder, I tried to get closer to them, but I was too weak. As everyone knew, I was the weakest werewolf in the entire Moonstone pack. Lucian the great Alpha, walked down to where I was taken to, I didn't know he would be joining us. His face masks of irritation, his presence was imposing, and even the guard holding me was intimidated. “You didn't have to come down here father” Dario proclaimed. Yet, here I am, the Alpha responseded, “I thought you were better than this”, he continued!! looking at me with disapproval, My son loved you” he concluded! “He loves me now,” Tasha responded. Don't worry, I'll make you proud. Aren't you Lydia's best friend? The Alpha asked, “I am”, she responded with a smile on her face! Is that true son? He demanded! I could hear his heart rising so fast, as he responded, “it's true father” I didn't raised you to behave like an animal, don't disgrace yourself and our family, the Alpha demanded, looking at Dario with disapproval, I won't disgrace you father, I and Tasha are getting married, I love her, and I would marry her, Dario announced as Tasha clung tighter to his arm. Stop saying nonsense, you will not marry Lydia's best friend, you will make us a laughingstock”! Lucian Alpha nearly spat! He turned to me, “take her to the lake”, he instructed the guard behind me!
