I Think The Billionaire Stole My Glasses

"ARE YOU FUCKIN' SERIOUS!?" Anna screamed, almost spilling her coffee as she leant in across the table to look at me.

Half of the people at the bar were already staring at us. I backed away a bit since her big green popping eyes crept the s**t out of me.

"Yeah" I replied spinning the straw in my apple juice, "what's the big deal?"

We were both sitting at the window side of our favorite bar, enjoying our drinks before I told Anna about my encounter and mind it, I was regretting it.

Anna pushed against her seat as she took her coffee in her hands, frowning.

"You do realize that one in one million get such a chance" she said taking a sip.

"I really don't think-" I began but she cut me off.

"And that he was a billionaire."

"Yeah but-"

"And that he COULD'VE FOUND YOU INTERESTING IF YOU LOOKED A BIT LESS OF A NERD AND MORE OF A HOT GIRL!"

"Jeez Anna" I snapped, "I am not here to impress billionaires! And by the way he has a girlfriend."

I pushed my glasses back again and glared at her.

"Wow" Anna said in awe "one minute with him and you got all of his personal life history. I am impressed."

I rolled my eyes at my best friend before taking a sip from my juice.

Anna was, hard to say, the most weirdest yet the best friend I had. Despite her selflessness, she had a lively nature and was very pretty as well. I still remember how uneasy I felt when we would go clubbing and all the dudes would hit on her leaving me sitting there like an i***t. She would offer me to come with them, sometimes even force me but it was never my thing. In spite of all that and her sometimes annoying nature, I was very fond of her. She had been with me since college but right then sitting in front of her and hear her scolding me for not looking hot made me rethink whether she was my mom or friend.

"Anyway", she said after a moment of complete silence "anything new?"

"Just the usual s**t" I replied stating outside the window at the passerby.

A man was walking with his dog and another woman was pulling her kid out of the candy shop. A young lady pushed a baby stroller while talking on the phone. It was a really nice day for a walk.

"About Cad?" Anna made me switch my head towards her.

Being my best friend, she knew that Cad proposed to me almost everyday of my not so ordinary life and sitting right there, she knew it happened again.

"Yeah" I sighed "the same usual question..."

"Ah you deserve better love" she told me, leaning over on the table, "I think he is the only person I will always try to keep you away from."

"I know" I sighed, "I can't wait for the contract to be over."

Anna let out a loud groan. "Adelia" she began "YOU. ARE. IMPOSSIBLE. This company is amazing for you. Don't just leave it because of one asshole!"

"That's the second time I am hearing that today" I told her. She rolled her eyes and called the waiter.

After we paid the bill, we went out for a walk. There was nothing much to discuss except for the latest trends in the market.

"I really do need to go shopping soon" Anna said holding her hands behind her back and talking long jumps, "I am running out of clothes."

"But Anna", I said looking at her in disbelief "you only bought clothes last Saturday and now you want to buy again?"

"But Adelia, you got proposed only yesterday yet you get proposed again today" she said, smirking "did you get tired of it? No, right? So neither do I."

I mentally face palmed myself and continued walking quietly. We walked for some time  along the road side until we reached the main market with all the shopping malls.

"OH MY GOD" Anna's screamed caught me dead as she started jumping.

"What's the matter?" I asked her as she placed her hands over her mouth.

"Look at those sexy dresses" she pointed to a shop window and I let out a defeated sigh.

She grabbed my wrists before I could even say another word and ran towards the shop. The first thing she did was to go up to that dress and touch it.

"How much does it costs?" she asked the shopkeeper.

This is going to be a long day.

Anna literally went into every shop and tried on almost every dress and ended up buying three to four dresses. She even insisted on buying me some and despite all my opposition and protest, she successfully bought me a dress.

After leaving the last shop, I was not surprised to see that it was night. The street lights made the starry night an elegant view.

There was a huge crowd of people shopping and we had to force our way through it. Then my dear bestie got hungry and we had to go to a restaurant to eat.

It was a not so fancy restaurant but the food was good. We had a couple of drinks and trying not to get too drunk, we paid and left.

We walked out of the restaurant and decided to go to my company Boxford.

We successfully got a taxi which could drop us at the company. There was a bus stop there which routed pretty close to our homes.

The old taxi driver was half drunk and the car smelled like beer. His white beard was messed up and his eyes were wide red. It was difficult breathing in there and I was afraid we might crash but luckily we made it near the company safe and alive.

Anna was the first one to jump out and I gave him some money and went out after her promising to get my own driver with me next time

"What a jerk!" Anna commented "who drives when they are drunk! He should be charged."

"I am sure the police will handle it better than you" I said chuckling as we made our way towards the bus stop.

Anna was looking at the company building while I, getting used to see it everyday, ignored it. It was pretty late at night and Boxford was almost closed. We were walking pass the entrance when I got the shock of my life.

The doors of the studio suddenly opened and he came out followed by his bodyguards. Me and Anna froze in our places as we saw the handsome billionaire walking towards us. His hands were clenched in fists and he was making his way towards us.

"OMG" Anna screamed in a low voice covering her mouth and shaking with excitement, "that's Jackson Grey!"

Unlike our last encounter, he was not wearing sunglasses and his captivating silver eyes made me feel lost.

He was so handsome, one could mistaken him for an angel.

Considering the fact that we had frozen right in front of him, he came to a halt when he faced us. His bodyguards stopped a few steps behind him.

Anna was a little way behind so I was the only one he was facing. He was staring right at me with a blank face. Then he dug his hands in his pockets and bent 90 degrees to my level until our eyes met. I could hear my heart beating, threatening to jump out any second.

I was too shocked to make a movement. He was staring right at me and his eyes were burning holes inside mine. My glasses had slipped down to my nose again which brought a smirk on his lips.

Oh no!

He raised his finger towards me.

No no no, wait!

I couldn't distinguish between reality and dream as he slowly took my glasses off making my vision a little bit blurry but still I could see his handsome face. Anna was squealing right behind me and I just stood there feeling myself burning hot red.

His breathe was a sweet scent and the perfume he wore made me grow dreamy.

"Do you mind?" he asked in his deep sexy voice which gave me goosebumps and I immediately knew what he was talking about.

"S-s-sorry" I stuttered, bowing and backing away to give him space to walk.

So it was all about him trying to ask me to give him way and not some romantic k drama moment. I was disappointed.

He stood up straight again and started walking.

"H-hey" I called as his bodyguards followed him, "my glasses!"

He didn't reply or stop but merely pushed the glasses in his pockets.

"WAIT!" I cried running after him "give me my glasses back. I can't see properly without them!"

Jackson walked towards his red aston martin rapide. One of his men opened the door for him and he got in.

Then the bodyguards sat in the front seats, one as a driver. I came to a halt right in front of the car and started knocking on the window. The billionaire rolled the window down and looked at me questioningly.

"My glasses" I demanded not finding him charming anymore. He smiled, raised his hand to wave at me before the car took off leaving me standing there like an i***t.

What the hell did just happen!
