The Day I Lost Everything

"OH MY GOD!" I laughed loudly, holding my stomach because it had started to hurt really bad form laughing "OH MY f*****g GOD!"
"Adelia..." Cad sighed "now is not the time for jokes."
"No", I managed, containing my laughter "now is definitely not the time for jokes. Now is the time for any one of us to check in to a mental asylum."
"We won't get anywhere with this behavior" Cad spoke.
"I always thought you talked s**t but today you have officially proven it" I said between short laughs, rolling over my chair.
"Adelia, stop" Cad said, sounding exasperated, his face turning red "this is a serious matter young lady!"
Finally, after wiping my last happy tear, I focused my eyes on his scarlet face.
There was a moment of intense silence as we both gazed into each other's eyes.
"So..." Cad cleared his throat.
"So what?" I asked, still feeling the tingling feeling in my stomach.
"What are you going to do about this marriage?"
"What marriage?"
"Adelia..."
"Cad come on this is not funny anymore. Stop it."
"Adelia, I am being f*****g serious."
"Same here, Cad... I am being serious too. You NEED to stop shitting that stuff and concentrate on why you called me here."
"TO f*****g TELL YOU THAT JACKSON GREY WANTS TO MARRY YOU!" Cad screamed, hitting his fist on the table and leaning forward towards me.
I pushed the chair back to avoid any discomfort but he grabbed the chair arms and pulled me closer.
"Cad..." I began, my face going cherry red.
Why am I blushing? I don't like him!
"He wants to marry you" he whispered softly, leaning in more.
"Cad stop" I began but all of the sudden he was deaf.
His eyes were killing mine, his breathe brushing against my face.
"What are you going to do about it?" he asked softly.
At that point I knew he wasn't just asking out of curiosity.
My hands tightly gripped the ends of my skirt as our noses almost touched.
"If you could just move that shithole of a face-" I spoke trying to act bold but he cut.
"You don't have a choice" he said in his deep voice "you either say yes or..."
"Or?" I asked.
I was trying my best to pull away but his grip was tight on the chair and his eyes hungrily looked at my lips.
"Or you run away with me" he said.
At this point, he raised his hand and brushed it across my cheek. I flinched in terror.
"Cad please..."
His soft fingers examined my cheek, travelling across my jaw line and climbed up my hair; grabbing a handful of it. I flinched.
All this time my eyes were completely shut, calming myself down.
"Please Cad" I spoke sternly, my eyes shut "stop it."
I struggled but he was too strong. But after some struggle I managed to break free.
My hand naturally slapped his face, hard.
"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!" I screamed, grabbing my bag and standing up, "I am sick tired of you, Cad. I don't want you in my life anymore!"
"Adelia!" he spoke but I ran towards the door.
He tried grabbing me by my elbow but I pushed him against the wall. He grunted.
I was at the door knob when he finally managed to grab my shoulders.
"LET ME GO" I screamed.
"Adelia calm down" Cad shook me, "I mean you no harm!"
I stopped screaming and stared at him, his hands on my shoulders. We exchanged a moment of intense stare.
Suddenly the door swung open.
"ADELIA!" someone screamed my name.
Cad immediately let go of me, falling on the ground and I turned around to see none other than Anna standing at the door, her eyes widened with surprise.
"Anna" I began, "he was- he was- it's not what you think!"
"What were you guys doing?" she whispered-cried.
"Anna" I said standing up and walking towards her, "I am going to explain everything. We were just talking."
"In each other's arms?" she chuckled.
Then she turned to Cad.
"What were you doing to her"! Anna shot and Cad, who himself was very surprised.
"Anna" he began.
"YOU ARE A f*****g DAMN DICKHEAD!" she screamed "first you cheated on me and now you are trying to hook up with Adelia! You are a psychopath!"
"It was just a small misunderstanding! " Cad shot back which was somewhat true.
"Was it?" Anna turned to her head to me. I couldn't speak.
"Oh!" she whispered, her eyes tearing up as she turned her heel and ran away.
I tried following after her.
"ADELIA!" Cad cried.
"Shut the f**k up" I snapped "I don't know who you are Cad Micheal! I am totally done with you. I am done writing for you. I am no longer working under you and I am NOT MARRYING ANY f*****g BILLIONAIRE!"
With that I pushed Cad away and ran downstairs.
"Anna WAIT!" I screamed catching up with my friend who was only a few steps away, outside the studio.
"What do you want?" she cried, turning to look at me "aren't you tried yet?"
"Anna" I began "this is not what you think it is. It is a total misunderstanding."
"I don't care Adelia" she said "my boyfriend cheated on me with girls like you. I have been holding it in for ages but today you just crossed the limit. You are a freaking gold digger and pleasure seeker. Our friendship ends today!"
Anna turned to her heel and marched away leaving me welled up in tears. Never had I ever imagined anything like this to happen; anything so horrible and scary. My life had ended.
A guy I had trusted for years is trying to hit up on me... A billionaire wanted to marry me...and my best friend didn't want to talk to me.
