Chapter 1
I walked into school with a large grin on my face. Even though I had woken up late, stepped in dog poop and almost been run over by a car I still walked into school with a smile. Just like I always do. I quickly entered my Bio class just as the bell rang and sat in my seat with a long sigh. Biology really wasn't my thing. After class, I went to my locker to grab a few books. On the way to my next class, I just happened to bump into Simran Bakshi. She had hated me ever since kindergarten and I honestly don't know why. I had never ever done anything to her, in fact, back then I had introduced myself to her and asked if we could be friends. At first, she had accepted but by the end of our first day of kindergarten she had hated me. Every time I had complained about this to my dad he would tell me it was because she was jealous. Jealous? Jealous? She was one of the most popular girls in school, she had boys fawning over her constantly, she was the smartest girl I knew, she had the most luscious black curls and her brown skin was completely pimple free. Why the fudge sticks would she be jealous of me? "Watch where you're going, slut."Simran snapped. I ignored her and quickly walked past. "If anything, you're the slut, "I muttered quietly. I felt someone's hand wrap around my wrist and I was yanked back and pushed into the lockers. "What did you say tramp?" she asked. I grimaced at the fact that she had used a swear word, I hated when people cursed. "Nothing, "I said quietly. "That's what I thought, whore." She huffed sauntering off. I sighed and walked to my next class which I was probably late for too. At lunchtime, I headed for the cafeteria to grab some lunch. "Hey, Mrs.P!" I smiled brightly at the lunch lady who was probably my only friend at this school. She grinned at me. "Hi, Aurora! What would you like?" she asked. "Uh...just some fries and Jell-O." She placed them on the tray with some OJ and I thanked her. "Wait, did you get a haircut? It's amazing!" She smiled at me and shook her head. "Funny you noticed it before my husband." I laughed. "Well, how could I not? It looks great!" "You know, every time I see you my day gets a whole lot brighter." she laughed. I blushed and waved my hand dismissively. "Aw shucks! Thanks, Mrs.P!" "Can you move it along? Some of us have stomachs to feed!"Someone shouted from behind me. "Oops!"I laughed. "Bye Mrs.P!" I waved frantically as I walked away. She laughed again and waved back. I walked out of the cafeteria with my tray and went outside towards the bleachers. I had a particular place I liked to sit. When I got there, my ever-present smile faltered. Someone was sitting on my seat. "Excuse me?"I asked politely. The guy looked up and scowled once he saw me. I was taken aback. I didn't even know the guy, I didn't get why he looked so angry to see me. "What?" he snapped, his nose ring gleaming in the sunlight. Hubba hubba "That's my seat, "I cleared my throat, ignoring his hotness. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked around us at the thousands of seats, he turned back to me. "Really?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, his voice deep and silky. "Yes." "Why can't you sit somewhere else?" he asked already annoyed. "Because that's my seat, I sit there every day, you can't just come and take it!" Before he could open his mouth I continued. "And it has a perfect view of the cafeteria so I can see if I lost track of time and people are already leaving, the sunlight hits me at an angle I'm comfortable with and I can watch hot boys in football gear run around the field without being noticed!"I ranted. "You do know you sound like Sheldon Cooper right now." I gave him a flat look. "Get up." "No." "Please?" "Nope." "Why not?"I whined. He shrugged. "Cos I like this seat too," he smirked. I sighed in frustration. I never got like this, I was always a tolerant person but for some reason, this guy was really pushing my buttons. "Get up!" "No, now fu-" I gasped."Don't swear." He looked up and stared at me incredulously. "You can't tell me what to do, you don't even know me!" "I don't care, I don't like when people swear."I retorted. "Really?" he asked with a remorseful expression. I nodded. "Well in that case," he smirked." Damn, b***h, d**k, f**k, puss-" "I'm happy! I'm happy! I'm always happy! I'm always happy and never angry!"I sang. "Oh, God." He sighed."What are you doing?" "My happy song. I sing that song when I feel like I'm getting angry and it calms me down. See!I'm happy again!" I beamed at him. He stared at me like I was crazy."Okay, bye." he said looking back down. I pouted as my arms started to hurt from holding the tray. I sighed, I guess it wouldn't be that bad if just sat beside him. I squeezed in beside him and sat down. I growled as I felt the sun in my eyes. I turned the other way scooting closer to the guy. "What the flip are you doing?" he asked angrily. "I'm sorry, It's just that the sun's in my eyes. And you didn’t swear! Yay!” He rolled his eyes and looked back down. “Not because you said you didn’t like it,” he muttered. I picked up a fry and started to eat my lunch. Bored, as usual, I looked around and pouted when I realized the guys weren't playing football today. I looked at the guy beside me to see what he was reading. "Oh for fudge sake!" he said shutting his book. “I'm pretty sure you stopped swearing for me because you really seem like the type that swears a lot." "Leave me alone!" he shot back. "I'm not doing anything!" "Yeah apart for pressing up against me and reading my book. Ever heard of personal space?" "It's not my fault you're sitting in my seat!" "You’re so annoying, like what the fu-" "I'm happy! I'm happy-" "You know what?" he asked angrily, he got up and picked up his bag."You can have the seat, Princess." "Princess? What's that supposed to mean?"I asked. "I think you know what I mean," he called over his shoulder as he stalked away.
