-Bella- It was difficult to look at the bundled-up body on the pyre. It wouldn’t be set alight until after sunset. In the meantime, people could say their goodbyes or leave presents and other items on the pyre with her. I tried not to cry, but it was nearly impossible. Not only was I mourning Skylar, but her death also served as a painful reminder of what had been taken from me—Dean. Damn it, I hoped he was still alive.
