Charlotte’s POV
We were both sitting in silence not knowing what to say about what just happened.
I pulled the blanket over me more and then turned to look at Lucas to notice that he was already intensely looking at me.
“Lucas we didn’t use protection.” I joked.
I saw him face fill with worry but soon disappear when he caught on, he just laughed.
“For a minute you got me there.” He said smile, a genuine smile.
I tranced my bump over the blanket like I always do.
I kept on feeling the tracing of my belly even when I was pretty sure that I had stopped.
I looked down to notice that Lucas had continued the motion.
“Why have you always hated me so much?” I asked and he stopped tracing my bump aka looked at me straight in the eyes for a minute.
“I don’t know when exactly why I started hating you, I don’t even think I hated you as a person, I just really disliked your personality.” He said and I laughed.
I was a real brat as a child but even when I kinda grew out of it but he never seemed to stop hating it.
His phone ringing brought me out of my thoughts.
“What.” He answered annoyance in his tone.
“Fuck.” He said and quickly got out of bed and started getting dressed.
I was curious but couldn’t seem to be able to hear anything being said from the other side.
After a couple yes and nos from Lucas the call ended.
“What’s wrong?” I asked curious and worried living in a gang live simple calls can bring bad news often.
“Umm I’ve got to go.” He said coming over to my side giving me a kiss on the forehead and then turning to leave.
“Lucas stop it right there, if something happened i have the right to know.” I said with a strong tone to show him I’m not playing around.
“Something is going on at the gang and I have to go help Charlie.” He answered not looking me in the eye as if he was trying to hid something.
I got up without saying anything else and started getting myself dressed too.
“You’re not coming.” He said as a matter of fact.
“That sounded more like a fact than a question I would advise you to change it to a question.” I said getting quite emotionless.
When it comes the gang or anything related it’s always best to shut your emotions out.
“Now tell me exactly what happened.” I stated.
“The Kings they are at the warehouse and refuse to leave or talk to anyone but the leader.” He said annoyed that he wasn’t getting his way.
Once I was ready I walked past him and made my way to the door to leave.
“Aren’t you coming?” I asked him.
“Charlotte you can’t go you are pregnant.” He said.
“Yeah I realised I’m pregnant, and I am going, it’s my gang and I have a responsibility to carry out, and they can’t harm me inside my own warehouse and leave without a bullet in them.” I told him and he let out a heavy breath and after that we both left together.
-
“They are in your office with your brother Boss.” One of my members told me before I even asked.
I nodded and confidently walked to my office.
“I would like to know what’s your reason to be in my office at this moment of time.” I asked as soon as I opened the office door and all the heads turned to me, everyone having a slight shock to their faces when they saw me.
“Mr King, I asked once I do not appreciate having to repeat myself.” I said raising my voice slightly.
“Yes, we have been having problems and came in seek of help.” Mr king said.
Mr king is quite young he is in his early thirties and is the leader to of The Kings.
“Mr King might I remind you that we are in no way in an alliance, and the last time I checks your gang was doing very well.” I said raising an eyebrow.
The Kings are quite strong and are big in numbers and have been for years, The Kings go way back 80 years, he have never had any problems with them so the reason why they were allowed in the warehouse in the first place, but that doesn’t mean we trust them as in fact we don’t have an alliance.
