CHAPTER TWENTY SIX
“Let this man go and you can have me. You won’t be alone anymore.”
Remi’s words from the next room spurred Daniel into action.
He had just made it to the annex of the temporary exhibition space, g*n leveled and at the ready. That i***t from the camera room was having trouble getting the emergency generator started, so Daniel had given up and set out for here on his own, only to find the officer guarding the exhibition knocked unconscious. He had no idea where the other two cops were. One was on the other side of the museum and would take ages to get here in the dark. The other one seemed to have gotten lost on his way back from the vending machine.
